One of the best costumer experiences we had on our travels! Such lovely, helpful and friendly people. The prices for everything they organized for us were super cheap or just the official prices.We arrived in the evening and the owner organized everything for the tour in the night. We paid very little for the medical certificate got a good price for the transfer up and down. The best thing was when the driver had a problem and would have been late the owner got up and drove us up waited for us and drove us down for the before agreed price. He speaks very good English which makes it convenient when he was telling us interesting informations about the area.When you have time left after the Vulcans and got some sleep you can visit either the Warung next to the river or more fancy but still very cheap the 1911 cafe & resto.Thank you for making this stay so comfortable and easy!

Rip off, dirty and no running water.We came here to do the hike to Ijen. The evening before we were told 150k for the health certificate and entry, masks and lamps are included. When you check out, everything suddenly costs money: masks, certificates extra,…When we returned from the hike from Ijen there was no running water. They just said we wanted to wait, but they didn't know how long.We dropped off our laundry yesterday and this morning we were suddenly told it wasn't possible and that was when we asked. If we hadn't asked, they would never have said anything about it.The night wasn't good either, we booked 2 rooms and in one the air conditioning was broken and in the other we were visited by a large cockroach.We felt ripped off by all the extra costs. It's okay if it costs money, but then you should say that from the start. And the worst part was that there was no water to shower after the hike. We now went to another hotel and booked a room just so we could shower. It's better to book another hotel right from the start. No recommendation!!

So far, this is the best guesthouse we stayed in Indonesia.Amazing family business. Everything they offer is great and with an honest price.Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. WiFi works perfectly. Location is amazing (40min by scooter from Ijen entrance driving slowly), and you can still find restaurants and mini market nearby.We ended up extending our stay.The owner does everything to help.If you want to do a guided tour at Ijen, do it with them. We did on our own and we rented a great scooter from them (100k per day).100% recommended and not sure if you can find anything better!

We stopped here before going to Ijen and liked everything very much. The rooms are good, everything you need is there, it’s clean, the people are very nice - I definitely recommend it ❤️🙏

I would have liked cleaner rooms and more comforts, like having more than one electric plug to charge my devices. Anyway the ambient was very relaxing. Reception was really welcoming and proactive. I would have liked a bigger breakfast, but the scramble eggs I’ve eaten with toasted bread were marvellous. Also fruit was very good.

Superb homestay with an adorable host of unparalleled generosity!Hadi helped us by picking us up when we arrived from Bali and answered all our questions regarding the climb to Ijen. We were able to rent a scooter, eat there and do laundry for very reasonable prices.The room with balcony was very clean, with storage, TV with Netflix, kettle and hairdryer. The bathroom has a shower with hot water. Drinking water is available. We were able to sleep well both nights; the only very slight 'negative' point being the nearby mosque which woke us up at 3am and 4am. But with earplugs it is quite bearable and does not depend on the Homestay.I 100% recommend this homestay to come to Ijen (which is only 30 minutes away by scooter) or to visit the region :)

Super high, very kind welcome, the room is really luxurious for the price with even hot water! In addition, our manager warned us that we needed a certificate to mount the ijen and therefore found us an emergency doctor to do it!

Our groups experience was far from the previous reviewers. We arrived to no one at the front desk, just a cleaner who couldn’t speak English. There were still workers painting and finishing the build and the smell of paint thinners through the whole building - it is basically still a build site. The description of the rooms doesn’t match the photos at all. There’s basically only 2 rooms with good views at the end of the building and one of them isn’t ready and the owner looks like he’s used the pics of the good one for the majority of the ads.I would suggest the good reviews have come only because it looks like the best room in the hotel was the only one ready and all of the guests so far have stayed in that one which has aircon and a good view.The TV doesn’t work at all and we went looking for the “restaurant” and it’s basically a balcony with a few tables and chairs.When the owner finally showed up and we let him know we were very disappointed in the reality versus the photos and description he was extremely arrogant and rude. He wouldn’t listen to any of our concerns and continual talked over the top of us.We have stayed in Ijen before at a Homestay called Vivi Homestay and couldn’t fault the service and friendly owners, but unfortunately they were fully booked.If you don’t want to be disappointed, do yourself a favour and steer clear of L’Javas!!

Great before/after climbing Ijen. 40 minutes from the ferry by bike, another 40 to the starting point (depending on the bike). The room has air conditioning, hot water in the shower (does not end). The bed is comfortable, everything else is good, standard.The host will help with medical certificates (required from 01.2024), will give out free respirators for climbing, and will tell and show everything.

Room number 4 is spacious and clean. The owner is friendly and informative about the Ijen Crater. Lend a flashlight, and can rent a mask too. The food is also delicious, you must try the nasgor with Ndeso style spices. Will stay here again if I go to Ijen.

A very good place for Russian-speaking and European tourists. Everything is clean and new, there is even warm water. It takes 30-40 minutes to Ijen (take gloves with you if you go at night, otherwise your hands will freeze on the bike).The owner is kind, the food is delicious

Five stars! Everything is perfect. The owner is very friendly and informative. Very good service. The room ambience is very cozy, like a villa in Ubud because it is in a rural environment. The atmosphere here is very calm for resting.If you stay here, you must order the fried rice, typical oriental fried rice like in high end restaurants*. This is the real street price of five star quality. Thank you L'JAVAS VILLAS for making my holiday comfortable and beautiful.
