We stayed at Kambuna bungalows for 3 weeks and really enjoyed our stay. We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived late at night and were greeted by the owners.Sidik was a great manager, so happy and helpful and greeted us everyday. The ladies in the kitchen cooked delicious meals daily, especially the BBQ night.Mosquito repellent worked very well in the room and we managed to sleep fine without getting bitten, just remember to keep your doors shut. AC worked well too.We unfortunately were involved in a moped accident during our time at Krui. Our injuries meant we had limited mobility and required to seek medical attention almost daily. Mama/Nurse Wati & Lawrence went totally above and beyond! We are so, so grateful for all their help and support, from translating in the doctor's surgery, giving us lifts, the staff even brought food to our room. Being so far away from home, we would've honestly been so totally lost without them.Thank you so so much both! Ben is doing much better now, we've been home for 2 months and he's finally bandage free!You can be rest assured that by staying at Kambuna you are supporting good people and their small business and will be well looked after.Highly recommend: waterfall walk day trip! So much fun!

Stayed for 3weeks in Kambuna and we loved every second of it! Wati & Lawrence are the loveliest and most hospitable hosts. The staffs are also nice and very accommodating! 🫶🏽They have a restaurant and all the foods they serve are delicious! They have a menu but we really enjoyed the variety of food for dinner which Wati prepared and cooked. My most favorite is the fries (the best in Krui & the banana pancake! 💯)The room we stayed at had a very comfortable bed. Air-conditioning works perfectly and we really loved the outdoor shower! Water pressure is also great. Wifi works in the common area but connection is not good inside the rooms. There is also a construction going on beside our room but that didn’t bother us much as we always wake up early anyways- they start around 8AM. The construction is almost halfway done when we left though.Thanks, Wati & Lawrence! We highly recommend Kambuna if you’re going to Krui! 💯

I stayed at Kambuna for just over a week while travelling and surfing in South Sumatra. Wati and Lawrence were wonderful hosts and made all guests feel like they were a part of their family. Along with this the kitchen and ground staff were incredible, making sure every need was met and serving us delicious, authentic Indonesian food as well as incredible western dishes too. The location is also excellent and places you within walking distance to 2 of Krui’s best waves; the peak and leftovers. I cannot wait to come back to Krui and stay here again, cannot recommend this place enough!

Wonderful place in Krui, amazing location with a great view of a perfect wave. Truly special. Can paddle out from the front garden, or sit and watch surfers from the property. Clean, comfortable rooms with great bathrooms and showers, great AC and wifi. Feels very private with a beautiful garden and landscaping. Perfect for surfers and non-surfers alike.Staff and owners are very helpful and kind, felt very welcomed. Food was great too. I already can’t wait to be back. Thank you!

This is the best place to stay if you’re coming out to Krui. It feels like a home away from home with the delicious food, comfy rooms and staff who take care of all your needs, from organising bikes to cooking us pancakes at 5am before our taxi ride. Thank you to Laurence and Wati for such a great stay, we will be back soon!

- location is excellent if you’re there for dry season waves, right in front of Krui Peak.-bungalow rooms are spacious but ours had a lot of holes in the roof allowing for mosquitos in the room every night, having mosquito nets would be a possible improvement. There was also a rat or mouse living in the roof and walls of our room that woke us up every night. The door to the room was also almost falling off its hinges and could easily have been broken.-the owners have five badly trained dogs which do quite often bark all through the night, can be quite repetitive if staying for more than a few days.-We stayed during a time there were building works happening in the communal relaxing area but were not offered any reduction in price, despite having to eat a lot of our meals in a building site.-the local staff were very helpful and fried my. Lawrence, the owner, was accommodating and kind.

Room is by the beach. Old room but they are building new rooms. This place is one of few in krui that we can swim by the calm beach. A great Krui sunset can be viewed here.The only note maybe too many dogs around, will be good if they can be centralised in 1 place i.e around main gate only.Overall good place in Walur to stay, especially if you are not a surfer and more into relaxing by the beach

Quiet and central place, if you want to surf or bodyboard you have two of the best waves in the area in front of you, The peak and Leftover.Clean and simple rooms.Always excellent food à la carte or menu of the day.Lots of fruit and superb smoothies!The owners are lovely people, they gave us great advice and directions and took us to the local market.If I come back here, I will go back to Kambuna!!!Great Wi-Fi!

Thankyou Kambuna Bungalow for your hospitality...The children are so happy that they are happy to bathe on the beach, can learn to surf, play on the boat... Very exciting!!!Continue to success Kambuna resort yaa...Returning to Palembang, the owner recommends taking the coastal route past Pesawaran to the Natar toll gate, passing Kota Agung, Tanggamus and Pringsewu.Alhamdulillah and thank you, the road is safe and not as extreme as via Kotabumi. This is really an experience.

The hotel rooms are comfortable, the location is strategic in the backyard of the hotel directly to the beach and the view is very beautiful in the morning. The employee service is satisfactory, the employees are very friendly and especially the lady who owns it is also very friendly. The food was delicious, for breakfast we had nasgor and omelets. Later, if there is a holiday, I will come here again. Thank you.

Not recommended!The owner's words towards children are very inappropriate to hear (too excessive), we came here for a fee, not for free!Just entered the room without mineral water, the normal breakfast menu was not tasty, uncomfortable with the treatment of the owner of the place (feeling suspicious or underestimated)I've been to Krui 9x, but this place is the least stressful I've experienced.

Everything! Highly recommend staying here, it was our favourite place to stay and we tried 4 places. Wati and Lawrence (owners) are so warm and welcoming, they have created a real vibe in the place, everyone feels like family and at home. The food is delicious, best homeMade bread in town! must do the Sunday night BBQ, the location is perfect right in front of the peak (wave), great for sunset, the rooms and great, clean and even nicer than the photos! At night you can meet the other guests, play some pool, darts, cards, watch sunset, chill, listen to good tunes, play with the puppies… thank you guys, Wati went out of her way to help us out with some personal problems and we couldn’t be more gratful 🙏, great value and we will be back x we came as guests but left as friends

Our stay in Kambuna has been perfect, Wati and Lawrence made us feel like home. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and clean. Amazing breakfast, variety of food for good price and staff super friendly and always taking care of us. We also celebrate our anniversary and they prepared and amazing dinner for us.
