Accommodation built in part of a clothing store. Rooms clean, quite adequate. One feels safe here. Excellent breakfast. The owner is very nice.

Strange place. It's in the building with a weird (closed?) clothes shop. Basically it's a big hall with the store in the center and next to that, divided by a glass wall, the guesthouse restaurant. Further around a corner they've built several rooms. These are large enough and with a private bathroom.Everything feels like it's going to fall apart soon. Build quality is horrendous. The rooms are very noisy because of that. No windows and poor ventilation, and so the rooms are quite warm and they are without A/C or fan. Bathroom is barely functional in my opinion.Staff really tries their best, but to the point where interaction is often awkward and sometimes very pretentious. E.g.: insisting on driving my scooter to their garage because they want to offer that service, even upon my specific request to do it myself. Two minutes later I'm down stairs explaining how the lock works (horribly complicated, which is why I wanted to do it myself) and explaining how to lock it again. Next day it turns out the scooter was not locked (anyone could've started it) and it had only been behind a flimsy wooden door all night.Breakfast is OK, nothing special. Either Nasi Goreng w/ egg or Toast w/ egg, some fruits, coffee or tea.Considering above I'd say they're overpriced. If I come back to Ruteng I wouldn't stay here again, which equals two stars.

When you enter, it looks like a store. But don't let it foul you, it is a very nice hostel!(if someone finds out the story about the store, please let me know. We forgot to ask)The owner and personel are super friendly! We even were invited to a first communion party. The beds are very comfortable and we slept well. If you are a light sleeper, earplugs are a good idea. The walls are a bit thin. The bathroom is basic, but you get soap, shampoo and towels.Breakfast was perfect! If you ask, I think you would get tea and coffee whenever you want. They also can arrange motorbikes and other transportation.
