Very chilled out accommodation. We had lower room with the outside seating area with nice views. Hot shower, comfortable bed and pillows. Good scrambled eggs and tasty coffee for brekkie. The town in general is quite damp being full of rice fields which will cause dampness in rooms, so one has to expect a bit of mould.However Billy's place is great value and he's a sound guy. And it's probably one of the quieter places in town to stayThanks 🇬🇧🇳🇿

Joseph is an excellent host. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms are excellent. Comfortable bed, hot shower and nice view. Far quieter than staying in town but only 1 minutes on a scooter. Nice breakfast with great coffee. Very much recommended

The rooms themselves are nice, done quite well and clean. But moving on to the negatives, the location of the house is exactly between two main roads, making the experience very noisy. Add to this the fact that at 4 in the morning 3 roosters located next to the room leave, making waking up neither particularly enjoyable nor pleasant. From the balcony of the room you can see a slope full of plastic and waste and the night before the neighbors started burning plastic, filling the room with toxic smells. Rather meager breakfast, a fried egg and a piece of toast. All for a price that if I had had to pay in full would have been around 270k - you can find better.I'm sorry for the guys but the experience was very negative for me.

The rooms are worse than in the photos,Quite humid if you have the lower rooms, but Billy is very friendly 👍Watch out for the rooster who likes to sing 5:20

The pictures are not recently taken and the room is now partly eaten by humidity and there is some decay in details. It is still cheap but I’m not so sure it justifies a price x2 compared to other guest houses of the area. A very good plus is the owner who speaks a brilliant English and is quite helpful although tours organized through him are slightly overpriced. Apparently he always recommmed Mopi’s which is definitely not the best restaurant in town but surely the most animated and “western oriented”, the final decision is up to the guest.The main inconvenience is the location, since you have to walk a bit in the dark at night till the “center’ for having dinner.

The owner, Billy, is a super nice guy and is also the lead singer of a local reggae restaurant band. His English is very good and communication is completely trouble-free. Any questions will be answered patiently. The room is comfortable and clean, and has hot water (although the water pressure is not very strong). We stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time with Billy and his friends

we really enjoyed our 2 nights here. Billy made things easy for us and when we had a bit of a travel disaster, he was someone we could trust.
The rooms were in great condition, the bathrooms were newly done. Billy takes pride in his property. Stay here!

Good calm place to overnight in Moni while exploring Kelimutu. Bill, the owner, helps if you want to hike the Kelimutu lakes, visit Jopu traditional family house or go to coffee plantation Kebun Kopi Tani near Wologai folk village. |This is a place for bacpackers rather than tourists with a suitcase.

Just not happy with the man who work there named Billy...he always try to drive us to go to place called mopys for food...while there are many other restaurants with better food...at the end we know if this guy get Comition from that place recommended by him....

Billy, raegge lover, owner of the guesthouse is the key advantage of this place. Kind, perfectly speaking English, calm man.The place is tidy, comfortable. Billy makes breakfast every morning, even ar 5.00 if you leave early for flight from Ende.The guesthouse is 10 minutes walking from Moni centre where at least one restaurant provides live music (raegge of course).Warm tap water available.If you sleep lghtly use ear stoppers. The rain forest is full of sounds and vibes. In the night in particular.

We are two friends and we stayed two nights at Billy aka Joseph Guest House.The room is totally ok, there is a mosquito net, bathroom towels, a very good breakfast with salty butter hahaYou have to walk 10 minutes to get to the “village” but with a headlamp or during the day it’s completely okBilly speaks excellent English, he gives very good advice, you can rent a scooter or car, he organizes your transfer to the next city, adapts to your desires and it was a real pleasure to discover Moni while staying at Billy.

Really nice place with the owner Billy who is kind and can help you to organize your stay. I came solo and don’t ride the motorcycle but he organized a driver and guide for me to explore the area and go to the volcano. I had a great day. It’s nice to sleep with the sound of the birds and the river. Also in Moni I have seen the best star sky in my life, incredible.

I enjoyed my stay. The bedroom and bathroom were quite large and clean. The owner helped me with motorbike rental and flagging a bus down when I departed for Ende, which I was grateful for. A little far and uphill to the restaurants in Moni, so best to rent a bike.

We stayed here with a recommendation of our driver, and we were very happy with the price, the cleanliness it was very quiet with a lovely view, we also came back after doing the sunrise on top of the volcano, and Billy had breakfast for us. Great place to stay. Highly recommend

If you are in Moni then definitely stay at Joseph Guest House! Billy is so friendly and kind and he will arrange everything for you. The rooms are nice and have everything you might need. Rent bikes and go visit the three lakes Kelimutu volcano and relax at Mopi's place. Thanks so much Billy and good luck with everything!

We stayed 3 nights at Joseph Guest House with our 8 year old son and loved it!Billy's kindness is incredible and precious: he allowed us to have a peaceful stay and made everything easier for us. From transport management to tours, but also restaurants and everything else you may need.The room is quiet, clean, shower with hot water and view of the river, and very nice breakfast.We recommend!
