I probably researched a dozen places to stay after Ubud, wanting to avoid the ultra-tourist swamped areas that do not interested me. I grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii and places like Honolulu (our version of Kuta) are NOT what I am interested in.Gde and his family we're not just incredibly gracious hosts but as Gde put it on my first day "My family is your family, my house is your house, I am your brother while you are here!"For 3 nights and 4 days I was shown 2 waterfalls, taken to the local temple, Gianyar night market, the local track to exercise, and shown where the best place is for a massage.This family home stay is supremely clean, centrally located, and the family is really nice. I'm a Solo female traveller and would come back to hang out with Gde any time I'm back in Bali.

Best place to stay in Gianyar. Although i only stayed here for 1 night, but it felt like home. Mr. Gde as owner and his family were awesome. And they have a cute dog too. It was amazing culture experience, because you felt like you were the part of family. The room was so clean, TV, AC, good wifi, water heater. Close to so many waterfall and night market around.Anyway, your nasi and mie goreng for breakfast were amazing !! Like in super fancy restaurant.
