We stopped there by chance after visiting a waterfall.Balinese welcome, generous and very friendly. We just had lunch but the setting is ideal for being away from the tumultuous Ubud.For a relaxed stay away from it all or just for a refreshing break around the pool.

If we could rate our experience at Asli Bali Villas any higher we would - 100/10. From the second we got to Asli we felt genuinely welcomed and at home. The property itself is stunning, so much thought and care has gone into the everything.The rooms and beds are very comfortable. The food is exceptional.Scooter available for hire. Tours and transfers available. Massage on site available. Very nearby is a beautiful waterfall, the short walk to the waterfall is just gorgeous and well kept.We did a day tour with TJ and we're so happy we did - he is very knowledgeable, took us to wonderful places and was not stumped by any of our many questions.There is also a Warung nearby that serves delicious Laklak and Babi Guling.Thank you so much Wayan, Mini, TJ, Kadek and the whole team. We were very sad to leave and look forward to when we can visit again. We wish you every success.

Hidden pearl.Family-run with an all-round package. Great rooms and pool.Top breakfast included.Additionally, top food for lunch/evening for little money. Also best quality.Small drawback: only two parking spaces for cars on site.

Asli Bali Villa is an oasis outside the chaos of Ubud, Uluwatu etc. A very good way to live an authentic Balinese experience.The rooms are clean, spacious and the beds are comfortable. The gardens and pool are cared for down to the last detail.Special mention to the Balinese massage they gave us on the terrace of the main building, it was by far one of the best massages I have ever received and the tour to the Batur volcano with TJ is also highly recommended.The location is far from restaurants and the road to get to the hotel can be a bit difficult, so it is necessary to rent a motorcycle (you can rent it at the hotel itself) or hire a local driver (I'm not sure about Grab, get there). For us this was not a problem because we were precisely looking for the tranquility of being in nature and the hotel food is good and varied, so we ended up eating there every day.The only negative points I would highlight is that I found it unpleasant to see the number of fish crammed into the small ponds of the villa without enough space to move and the little bird in a tiny cage.I also would have liked our room to have some mesh to prevent lizards from entering through the bathroom lattice (in some rooms we saw that they did have it, but in ours there wasn't one).
