Ambengan Private Villa

The woman who takes care of the villa is 10/10. Super grateful to her. Access to it is the problem because it is quite complicated 😅

The road to get to this place is terrible, if you have never ridden a motorcycle I do not recommend that you do so when you stay there.The girl who helped us was super nice. He cared a lot about us, he cleaned our room every day and everything was perfect, in fact we didn't have cash to pay him and he let us pay him at the end of our stay.The room is very good, the only thing is that it has damp on the ceiling and the door does not close, but there is another door outside that you can close.The pool had a lot of chlorine and at 4 in the morning they wake you up from the temple next door with prayers.And if you happen to have a day when they have cockfights... you're screwed, bring earplugs...Otherwise everything is great!

The toilet flushes, the kettle works, there is hot water and the bed is ok. The air con works. That is where the good points about this "villa" end, I am afraid. The door does not close so we jacked it up with a Gerber to make it fit better. The plug in the bath does not close. No one has offered us a fresh towel in 4 days. There's no toilet paper (tissues suffice) and since we are not putting it down the toilet, the used toilet paper is gathering in the bin for the fourth day. Luckily there is a squirty next to the toilet. There is no soap. The pool is turning a deep shade of green today. The 2 coffee cups and 2 wine glasses will suffice with being rinsed. Again. (We bought our own coffee) The tv does not work and my phone charger gets so hot so quickly that it is a fire hazard. The ground outside the bathroom area is covered with cigarette butts. Most of the power points do not work. There are 6 lights on all night in the tiny yard, it is never dark. But my main gripe is that the punishing tropical sun blasts down on the outdoor deck area from 8 am until sunset. Relentless. It is a small area (3 m X 6 m) so there is no scope for moving the tiny 40 cm square table into the shade. Your body will be in the sun, no matter what. A simple bamboo screen like the one hanging in the bathroom area (for no reason, next to the wall) could solve this problem and create some shade. Hoping for cloudy weather on our holiday hasn't worked!! You do not see locals sitting in the sun all day; in fact, quite the reverse. So we have paid top dollar for this place at over $100 AUD per night when I could have had better luck for 1/3 the price. And we paid cash up front on arrival, for eight (8) nights as owners requested. Despite this, we are considering our options re moving for the second half of our Nusa Penida stay.

Very beautiful, clean, quiet and very private suitable for couples. About 300m from the main road, the access road is a bit bad

The hygiene is not very good, the sheets are stained, and the place is too remote. It is not recommended.

Spent a nice few days here. Very clean, tidy and completely private. Staff helpful and think along with you. Scooter can also be arranged here, tickets to other islands etc.My wife and I are very satisfied with this. If you don't want to leave for a day, you can also order food here and it will be brought to you. A really great place and definitely recommended!
