The owner family was very nice.Maybe Asians are rare?He took good care of me.The room didn't have a hot shower, but it was clean and comfortable.

Friendly, helpful family home stay. The owner is a very knowledgeable guide. Very good good coffee and simple breakfast. It is a very good value for money. Also good motorbike to rent.Location is central, closed to the local market. Big rooms, but shower could be improved.Unfortunately it was very hard to fall asleep, for the constant barking of the neighbour dog. And I could only sleep until 5.30 am, as the local church plays loud music from that early. Even hear plugs didn’t help.I’d still recommend it. But be aware and prepared for the noise

I would go back anytime I'm in rantepao. Rooms are big and clean. The staff is lovely, and the place well maintained. The owner gave me so many advice about the surrounding.

RIANA HOMESTAY which costs 150K/200K per night is worth it to stay here.It's clean and the hospitality owner is quite good at serving guests. There are 5 rooms available in this homestay. The bedroom and bathroom are very large and have hot water too. Even though it is only equipped with a smoothly rotating fan without sound, the air in the room is quite cool. Every morning coffee/tea and cake are provided as breakfast. There is wifi but there is no TV for entertainment. The atmosphere is very calm.The location is a little bit into an alley, but if you search slowly you can find it. It's better to enter from Jl. Diponegoro and enter the small street next to the church.

Positive : First it's a very affordable price for a room. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean.The daughter's owner is very gentle and friendly.Breakfast is very good and included in the price !Negatives :The owner wasn't really helpful honestly, we tried to go to places where people are welcoming and helpful to help us organise the trip in Sulawesi that's what we love about this island. But here he gave us no valuable informations even if we tried to ask him. Maybe he was tired. It happens I don't blame him. Nonetheless I can't hide it was a big disappointment.Also you need to be aware that you will not sleep well. There are loud barking dogs, and honestly, usually I'm not concerned about animals doing their lives but here you are going to be wake 2 or 3 times a night.At 6am you'll be awake by the church.

Good welcome from the family, with a good breakfast, although the rooms are a bit basic.Every morning, before 6, the speakers from the church next door wake you up with music and a sermon, at an exaggerated volume.

We really enjoyed our stay at Riana’s Homestay. It was a good value for money, we had everything what we needed, the room was super clean and breakfast delicious. There was an option to organise a tour around the area or to rent a motorbike from the owner. Perfect location in the town centre.

Thank Chaud and Riana for their welcome during our stay.We spent a few days there and everything was great, they took care of us at all times and made us feel at home.We did a 1-day trek with Chaud and another day he took us to a funeral. Both experiences were worth it and at a good price.We will return 🫶

Everything is exceptional!Everything was perfect, the accommodation is very good, clean and quiet (despite the music from the town church 😅). The family is lovely, and we were able to book a trekking trip and visit to a funeral with them.We recommend hiring everything once you are there, it is more profitable.Thanks for everything! We hope to return in a few years 💚

We spent 3 nights at Riana Homestay and we recommend it if you pass through Rantepao! In addition to the kindness and welcome of our hosts, the Homestay is located right in the heart of the city while being in a quiet little alley and not far from good little cafes where you can go to eat. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfasts, let's not talk about it, it's a real delight!! Homemade that we never get tired of 😋Small downside, the cold showers (although you get used to it!) and a Protestant church not far away which makes announcements throughout the city early in the morning...For such a price, you won't find better... go for it! 😊

Basic but comfy room. Amazing staff, friendly and helpful. Good tour and bike prices. He's a great guide also and definitely worth going with him as a guide as he timed everything perfectly and we didn't miss anything. There are supermarkets and lots foodThe only bad things are the noise. The town has music and announcements playing on big speaker from 5am and then the property is surrounded but pigs, dogs and chickens that make noise straight after the music till early afternoon. Take ear plugs
