Very recommendable to see Rammang Rammang. The family is very welcoming, cook good food and help you out with everything. Really nice glimpse into the culture and interaction with local people.

Yes I gave this place 5 stars, it’s rustic and beautiful, the location is just idyllic. Settled on the banks of the Pute River, these reef and wooden structures are functional and comfortable, but it’s a gateway the most incredible scenery. The Karst region is just stunning. The food at the restaurant on site is simple, tasty and ample. You have to try the Piesang Goreng Keju, such a strange combination but it’s delicious. Loved my 2 nights here, couldn’t recommend it more, don’t expect luxury! The staff are amazing but obviously language is a barrier.

It's probably the best accomodation that Rammang-Rammang has to offer. The guy owner is a seasoned tour guide/diver that has traveled all across Indonesia and decided to stay here. The wife is the super manager that does the cooking (the fish soup is out of this world!), tour and transport arrangement, etc. The place bears "eco-friendly" in its name on various online booking websites. So don't expect aircon and hot water. The bungalow roofs are traditional dried woven nipah leaves (local palm trees) that could understandably be leaking a little here and there when it rained very hard, but it's part of the fun living in nature. The location is surrounded by amazing karst hills and it's in the center of Rammang-Rammang. Ask for a whole day trekking tour because this is the only way to get the full experience visiting various places on foot and by boat. The local tour guide guided us through the rivers, ricefields, and forests where we picked wild flowers and leaves that the homestay later cooked for lunch! In short, this is the best time we had in South Sulawesi! ❤️❤️
