Currently there is a big construction site next door so there is a lot of noise, the property itself needs money spent on it to bring it up to a cleaner, neater standard, if you’re looking for rest and relaxation, then this is not the place at this point in time. I would check back in around 6 months when the building next door should be finished.

My husband and I have been in Indonesia (mostly Bali) and the Tori Inn is hands down the cleanest place we've stayed, and our room is gigantic! The location is perfect for us. It's down a shady lane, so you don't hear the street noise, but you're within walking distance to so many restaurants & a ten minute walk to the beach. There's a large pool that's always sparkling clean, with nice loungers and umbrellas. There's free water refill available & a kitchen & dining area if you feel like doing any cooking! The staff could not be more gracious. The only downside is the abandoned construction project next door. Not the prettiest, but after a couple days I barely notice it.We will definitely stay at Tori Inn the next time we're in Sanur. Highly recommend it!

The owner Yullia came 8 in the morning and also she didn’t able to open the door so she brooked the door and post that she asked me to pay 3 million IDR for the door, even i had to pay 5 million as my medical expenses. So guys don’t trust this women and never book this property.

The host takes no responsibility for their faults and unavailability for the guests in Emergency. They are capable of manipulation and outright abuse. The incident below may seem like a one-off event but the intent of the hosts and accountability is very important, which is a general trait rather than reactions to specific situations. Even if you take every information mentioned herein with a pinch of salt, you will find that there are many reasons to avoid this place. Here is what happened with us: "8 of us booked 4 rooms in this place for one night, as we were going to Nusa Penida the next morning. Everyone arrived late at night (Different flight timings), and we had dinner together at around 2 am in the night in the kitchen area and had 5 beers shared amongst 8 of us. Post dinner, we were just talking near the pool area (we were meeting after a long time), when one of the guests asked us to keep our voice low as they were trying to sleep. We immediately went to our individual rooms to sleep. One of our couple friends went into the bathroom together as both were tired and wanted to sleep quickly. As they tried to come out of the bathroom, the gate wouldn't open. It was locked!! the door was jammed and they were not able to open the bathroom door. The bathroom didn't have any proper ventilation. They didn't have their phones, and eventually, they started shouting for help, which was not heard outside beyond the closed doors. One of them had to break the glass panel located in the middle of the bathroom door. Breaking the glass hurt him badly and he instantly started bleeding. At first, he tried to put his hand through the panel area to open the door from outside, but when that didn't work, they started shouting again. This time their screams were heard as the glass was broken and we heard their voice from the next room. Once all of us became aware of the situation, we tried to reach out to the hotel staff, even though our friend was badly hurt and bleeding continuously. We called each of the contacts given by the administration multiple times but no one was available. At last, We had to break the window glass to enter their room, once inside we tried to open the bathroom door but couldn't. After a long time (45 Minutes+), while our friend was losing blood, one of the caretakers finally provided us with a small hammer to break the lock, but the lock still remained jammed. We tried opening the door for some time (30 minutes) before another caretaker came and concluded that breaking the lock was the only option and broke the bathroom door handle himself with the hammer. As we rushed to the emergency hospital and worked our way in a foreign country, there was no help/support from the office staff. Our friend had multiple stitches, and all of us had a sleepless night. As we came back to leave the place, there was no host/caretaker to talk to us about the incident. We left the place for our next booking. While we were absorbing what happened to us, the owner came back in the evening with accusing messages and threatening to report us to the Bali police and put us in jail. They asked us for exorbitant money even for the door which was not working and it was purely their mistake. I am quoting some of the excerpts from the owner's messages to show how they manipulated all the events:We were traumatized by the incident and the act of indecency by the owners. We not only covered all the medical expenses for the friend, rather we also had to pay this additional money to the owners. While we tried to talk to them about how we should, if at all, be responsible only for breaking the external glass and the bathroom door was already malfunctioning, they didn't listen. We were helpless in the end. As I said earlier, even if you think that we were not absolutely right, the malicious intent of the owner was unwarranted. We really want to spread the word of caution to all future travellers looking to book this place.
