As it is now, I would avoid staying here if possible. The room itself was ok, but the bathroom was lacking a sink, and also the water pressure was almost not existent. Cleanliness was not great. The staff was nice, but I felt they did the bare minimum. The homestay was probably better few years ago judging by the reviews, but now is in really bad conditions. It definitely has potentially, but the owner needs to do a bit more to keep it in order.

Disgusting hostel, slept two nights in two different rooms. The first room was a private room which had a spring poking out of the mattress, a terrible smell, no sink, and a noisy air conditioner which would make you rather just not use it.There is a tiny window in the private room which provides close to zero light. The Wi-Fi does not reach the room. The next night we tried the double bed in the dorm. It’s in the hallway to the main dorm with a thin curtain that covers 3/4 of the area from the hallway, providing limited privacy. The bed in the dorm was hard, not firm, but hard like cement. It was so old it had sunken down into the middle. One of the pillows felt like it was just a pillowcase stuffed with rags, the other was covered in stains. Both of us struggled to sleep as the cleanliness of the pillows and mattress made it hard to breathe through our nostrils. This was made worse by the aircon for the dorm being in the other section which meant that the archway to the hallway and the curtain to the room blocked the airflow. In conjunction with the large outside facing window in the hallway which gets quite a lot of light lead to the room heating up a lot. I’ve been traveling for over 6 months, staying in some of the cheapest places over India and South East Asia. This is one of the worst. At least the Wi-Fi reached the room here though. We asked to change out of the double dorm bed to a private room for our remaining 2 nights. We were told that rather than paying the 30 000 difference in price that we’d need to pay 150 000. Eyes watering and itchy from allergies and lack of sleep we agreed. We were moved to a private room again which absolutely stunk of mold and stagnate water. Again with a useless window this bed wasn’t any better, there was no sink, the Wi-Fi also didn’t work, and the aircon was the noisiest yet, it also dripped.Yes, it has a kitchen, it’s dirty, filled with dishes, and the coffee machine is covered in mold worse than you’d expect.Yes, it has a small common area, it’s filled with smoking utensils and a smashed TV.The sole employee is nice, although it’s hard to locate him at times. He clearly tries to help with what he has but it seems the owner is neglectful and careless about taking care of his property. The property is mostly empty, in the 3 days we were there I saw 6 guests total. The bookings calendar near the desk doesn’t indicate that there’s anymore people than that around.I don’t know why it has so many good reviews. There are so many things I haven’t mentioned, from the urine mold underside of the toilet seat, the lock on the shared bathroom door being put on the wrong side so that you can lock it from that outside but not the inside, meaning you can be locked in the shower but not lock anyone out, the stain covered walls, and much more.Just don’t come here. Maybe it was maintained better in the past, but as of July 2024, it’s not.

This place seemed good at first but after staying a bit more we realized everything that was wrong… AC is noisy, bathroom drips all the time, the bed is not comfortable at all, the pillows are dirty, my eyes started to be wet maybe because of the humidity or the mold hidden somewhere? Just look at the pictures… when we left we saw a pest guy coming so I guess some bugs have been seen too. I don’t even want to know what this guy came to hunt. Also the lock in the bathroom near the dorm doesn’t work so you take a shower with the risks of being seen naked by a random person. The only thing clean might be the floors because no one wears shoes inside. The coffee machine is moldy, the ceiling has water stains, the wall is scrambling, the WiFi is not good, the toilet is elevated in a weird way, one sink is blocked, one electric outlet is dangerous, the non smoking common area has a ash tray with some cigarettes … I could keep going but I think you got it.The only good thing here is maybe the staff guy that seems alone all the time and that is very kind but I can’t tell about the owner, never saw him and if he let his homestay be like that then I guess he’s careless… oh and ofc when we asked to switch rooms hoping it would be better upstairs the owner made us pay more than the difference between the prices of the two rooms. We waited more than 1 hour to talk to the staff when we left, which means if you want to check in I guess you could wait for a long time. No one answer to the 2 phone numbers on the wall, even the pest guy stayed a very long time waiting…In conclusion, dirty, bugs, noisy, hot, staff is good but owner should take care of the place more.
