Was recommended this place by a friend and was a little apprehensive after reading some of the mixed reviews but I needn’t have been.Rooms are modest (Kos/dorm vibes, simple shower, small blanket) but AC and plumbing works.Harry was super helpful and knowledgeable and can organise ferry tickets to togian, cars to/from manado and day trips around gorontalo.Included breakfast is also very modest in terms of portions (no rice surprisingly - a first for me in Indonesia) so bring extra snacks if you like eating but there is tea/instant coffee you can help yourself to.Overall good value, would defs stay here again and recommend to others (although gorontalo city was recently affected by floods the weeks prior the clean up was surprisingly fast and the locals are lovely) can wait to come back!NB I would recommend messaging on WhatsApp prior to confirm the booking - a French couple I was with booked on a secondary website like Agoda and found out that day the place was overbooked and they had to stay in another property of theirs (far from the city). I booked via WhatsApp and had no issues.

The room with AC was perfect: clean, the bed comfortable, hot water…And Mimin the host was super helpful+ we made many friends there !Overall, the atmosphere is excellent :)I highly recommend this place it’s a must

Harry and Mimin are the best hosts and truly kind hearted people! We spent 3 days with Mimin and her family and we were very sad to leave. She booked the ferry to Wakai for us as soon as we arrived to make sure we got a ticket and went with us from the homestay to inside the ferry to make sure everything was well when we left ❤️🙏 We had a beach day all together with a karaoke lunch, we sang and danced and ate and had so much fun🥰 We went to the local market and did a cooking class which was perfect and soooo delicious. Mimin sweetly packed up the leftovers for us to take on the ferry to Wakai because there is limited food available on the 13h ferry. If you stay with Harry and Mimin you will see the heart and culture of Gorontalo, have fun and get the best advice and support for wherever your journey is going next.
