Green Tree House Villa Ubud

This property refuses to give my family a refund. We arrived at the property and were shown to our room with our young child, we booked this room as it had air conditioning and a couch for him to sleep on. There was no couch and we had to pay an extra $30 for an extra bed. This is an expensive hotel compared to the others in the heart of Ubud, we picked it because of the look of the property and the treehouses for my young child.The room is a third of the building you see in the pictures and a door with a sheer curtain separates your bed from the guests next door.The room felt overwhelmingly hot so we decided to go for a swim. Wondering why there were no seats around the pool we soon found out,. Fireants, within 30seconds of putting our towels down we had bites to our legs and groin areas, 2 that I am still being treated for. There was no warning of this from the property.We returned to our room that was still unbearably hot with an inconsolable little boy with bites. The phone temperature still read 34 degrees Celsius. I looked at the hotel rooms at this hotel before we left and paid extra for the air conditioning for my young son. I called for help with the air conditioner and a man came out, took the remote outside for 5mins and came in and said it was fixed, it wasn’t. The hotel offered to move us next door for the night as they acknowledged it wasn’t working, this was late and my child was sore and tired. We did not want to do this as it was not the property we booked and were told to take what we need and they would sort it out in the morning.We went back in the morning and the room was still 35 degrees Celsius so we decided after the previous night we could not stay there that day or night. MY young son was also horrified at the idea.Although I would like a refund for both of the nights we were going to stay I only asked for 1 nights refund. The manager assured me before I left that this would happen. Since then I have been messaging her, she promises she’ll refund until I message again making excuses and then deleting the messages after. I am not a well off person and really need this money back as we had to outlay money for a hotel the second night.I would not recommend this hotel, it is not comfortable, it’s expensive, you can’t sit or walk around the pool barefoot, it does not provide what it says in the description on travel apps and even when you’re being fair they will not refund you.24/09/24We still have no refund

The location is very central. Cleanliness is zero. Comfort is zero.

This villa is very comfy and the view is beautiful. I really like the atmosphere in this villa, so quiet and far from the hustle and bustle of the streets.

Not worth the price at all. The room is small and different from the photo. The jacuzzi was broken, the towels couldn't be changed every time, and the installed hair dryer had a different plug and couldn't be used. The shower always runs late and the teacup is dirty every time. Breakfast is average.I was disappointed.The location and garden were good.

I recently stayed at Green Tree House Villa in Ubud and had a mixed experience.The location is excellent, nestled in a beautiful area with lovely surroundings. The outdoor space is quite pretty, featuring a nice pool and charming treehouses that add to the rustic feel of the place.However, there were several drawbacks. The treehouses did not account for the large number of mosquitoes in the area. It was disappointing that there were no mosquito nets provided, which would have greatly helped with mosquito protection. Additionally, the rooms did not have air conditioning, making it quite uncomfortable during the warmer nights.Moreover, the cleanliness of the linens left much to be desired. We found several stains on the bed sheets, and even after requesting a change, the new sheets also had stains. This was quite concerning and did not meet our expectations for cleanliness.The breakfast included with our stay was also quite underwhelming. It was very basic and unimpressive, which was disappointing given the overall cost of staying at this hotel.Despite these issues, the rooms were generally nice and had a cool vibe. However, the lack of consideration for mosquito control, the subpar breakfast, and the cleanliness issues were frustrating, especially considering the high price of the accommodation.In summary, while Green Tree House Villa has potential with its great location and beautiful outdoor area, it needs to address the mosquito problem, improve its linen cleanliness, and offer a better breakfast to provide a more satisfactory experience for guests.

I paid 300,000 - relative to the price list on Booking, as they presented me with a fait accompli upon eviction; They charged 400,000 for late check-out - they forgot to mention this and in general I didn’t check out but extended the villa for 1 day, resulting in an overpayment of 700,000

Beautiful, quiet complex in the middle of Ubud.There are many restaurants and shops nearby within walking distance.The staff gave us a warm welcome.

This villa is very comfortable, clean and beautiful. I really like the service at this villa, friendly and always quick to respond to what I need. Thank you
