10/10 would recommend. the staff is amazing. We felt so comfortable and taken care of. Would come again any time. Arif is so helpful. We did the Tour and had an amazing time with wanda. Saw so many animals and he answered all our questions.

What better way to start a trip than to relax away from it all at Kupu Kupu with the superb team who will take care of you.To do this, you will have to drive 4 hours, sometimes winding, to arrive in this paradise that is Bukit Lawang, a region where you can go trekking in the Gunung Leuser park to see the famous orangutans.. thanks to my guide and entertainer Arif, great guide and also a wonderful person who allowed me to meet them, the first!! With his flair, we met 4!! Just fabulous and memorable with my different trekkings in Borneo, everything happens in Sumatra at kupu kupu!!! And if you ever don't manage to meet any, you will have to go back, and it's not a simple courtesy visit, it goes up and down constantly, a little cardio before going wouldn't help. no harm.I was able to observe the chef during a remake of a nasigoreng and a thousand thanks to the young lady, to Ricky and company, I will never forget!!Nordine

I had the pleasure of meeting Arif and Risky at the Kupu Kupu Lounge. Unfortunately didn't book a trek with them, but both are extremely nice and welcoming people who made me feel at home right away. Definitely a recommendation!

The best accommodation you can book in Bukit lawang. All the staff are friendly and the rooms are more than satisfactory. Trekking through the jungle with an overnight stay was a unique experience and can only be recommended. First-class food, guides with a lot of knowledge and great nature and animals. There's hardly a better way to invest €90. I can only recommend it!

Arif is the best guide we could have had! He and his colleagues have taken care of us from the first moment. It has made us feel at home being in the middle of the jungle. The route is incredibly beautiful and the number of orangutans and monkeys we saw was amazing. Arif guided us respecting our rhythm and with great respect and admiration for the environment. The night we spent in the camp next to the river was quite an experience. They cooked us a delicious meal and offered us fruit non-stop. We spent a very pleasant night chatting next to a bonfire. In the morning they prepared a great breakfast for us, we went to walk a little more along the paths near the camp and it took us to a beautiful waterfall near the camp. To top it off, going back to the town rafting down the river was quite an experience!!! 100% recommended!!!!!
