The location and view over the island is really beautiful! Unfortunately our room and especially our shower was full of bugs and ants. Also it felt like all sorts of animals lived above our ceiling. This gave me an very uncomfortable feeling. On top of that are the walls very thin.Also the breakfast is very minimalistic, as it is only a slice of toast, a bit of scrambled eggs and coffee or tea. All in all I can only give 3 stars.

I gave it 3 stars because of its location and nature. The only good thing was waking up to the sounds of birds in the morning. The rooms are in a very bad condition and dirty. We stayed for 3 days and no one even came to pick up the garbage. The breakfast was very mediocre. When it comes to breakfast in Indonesia, only eggs and bread are mentioned, but normally they are served with fruit. Here, eggs, tea or coffee, bread and that's it.The walls of the rooms are made of bamboo, the people in the next room seem to be with you, all the sounds are inside.

Very affordable. Simple with clean. The only thing missing was hot water.It is required that you have a scooter as it is inaccessible.

Clean and super friendly family owners. Nice ocean view and A/C included. The area is very quite and you will want to rent a scooter. Good for a few days, especially when staying with one of the nearby diving schools like Purple Dive

It's the best, the atmosphere is really nice, the bed, bedroom and bathroom are clean and comfortable, there's a place to hang your clothes if you want to wash yourself, it's just a shame there's no cafe or food stalls, so if you're hungry in the middle of the night you have to go out and look for yourself

Gentari is on a hill top with sea view and across the sea is Mt Agung from sitting on bed so that's great already. It's not very sound proof due to all the walls are made from bamboo so every sound made from 9.30pm needs to be delicate and gentle. Limited rooms so easily fully booked. No hot water though!

Unfortunately, the location of this homestay doesn't quite fit. It is located on a mountain about 1km from the sea. But it is an absolute insider tip.Β β¦
