Unforgettable stay here! Bill welcomed us like family to his hostel ideally located in the village, a stone's throw from the beach for surfing, good restaurants and supermarkets. The air-conditioned rooms are comfortable and Bill takes great care to make us feel good and to help us organize our stay. He even accompanied us on a motorbike tour through the beautiful countryside. We will come back without hesitation.

Awesome place, Bill is a legend - anyone going in future please take care of my cats (white boy with a grey tail, and the naughty black cat! They are my babies).Can’t recommend enough I am looking forward to returning next year :)

I stayed here for a month and would definitely stay again. I felt at home in this place. It is quiet, comfortable and clean. You may use a kitchen, water, tea and coffee is provided. The price is reasonable.Bill took care of me when I was sick, arranged a bike, and even came with me when I took the bus to leave. His son Edgar helped me to buy a board and to do my visa extension. They shared their food and their culture. You can even learn Indonesian languages with Bill !It’s a nice place to hang out, play the music and meet people. There is a local restaurant just in front. 5 mn ride from the surf spots and the local supermarket. I mean what else can you ask for ? Maybe a garden, but the green is all around.Thank you so much for this stay, the nicest one I had in Asia for this price after travelling solo for a year. I can only recommend.

We had a great stay at Bill Homestay. We chose this place to stay for five nights in our trip to rest and enjoy the surfer vibe of Batukaras. It was really amazing, we felt like we were at home. The room was really spacious and quiet, perfect to rest and recover from a day of surfing. Thank you Bill and Edgar for all your help. We had a great time !

Bill's is my #1 place to stay at Batukaras. The rooms are clean and simple, with a lot of natural light. It is hard to find another place in Batukaras where the rooms are so airy thay you don't need AC throughout the night. The wifi is fast and stable. I used it for video calls and streaming, works great. There's a little shared kitchen available for use, too.Bill is an amazing host, so helpful and cheerful. He will help arrange anything one may need. Always fun to chat with, Bill is always respectful of guest's personal space, too.On a side note: throughout the years Bill has given me some good life advice. He seems to have unlocked the secret to happiness - maybe he'll share it with you, too.10/10 I would recommend this place topeople who value simplicity, clealiness, airiness.
