The staff were very friendly. Nice enviroment. But the towels were dirty, floors on the toilet were dirty too. But the food was tasty. You can reach very beautifull beach by walking. The swiming pools is clean, water was refreshing. Really good breakfast.

I absolutely don't recommend it.I stayed with my family in this hotel in August for 4 nights; there were 3 of us with my wife and my 15 year old son. When booking - given the unavailability of 2 separate rooms - the owner had indicated the possibility of having a single deluxe bungalow - i.e. larger - with a bed added to the main bed. Instead they offered us a standard bungalow with a mattress on the floor; therefore the structure provided information that did not correspond to the truth.Moreover, in the "inflated" website of the structure, in addition to evidently retouched photos, there was also an account of the "existence" of a spa which in fact absolutely does not exist.The structure then has a terrible quality/price ratio as it is completely out of market - too high a price - compared to the other structures on the island and in relation to the few basic services it offers.In essence, 90 euros per night for a room is almost a 4-star price in Indonesia (which is what I thought the structure was as it qualifies as a luxury hotel)Cleanliness is also poor both in the rooms (plenty of hair in the shower upon our arrival) and in the swimming pool (never cleaned in 4 days and really full of chlorine) and in the restaurant (dirty tablecloths always on the tables and never changed).The food offered is also low average on the island and therefore I would say nothing special.Lastly, the staff appears affectedly courteous and far from the true kindness encountered in Indonesia in the past 15 days.The only positive note is the context of the resort immersed in the jungle and the tranquility of the place as well as its proximity to Cristal Bay.Obviously the decision is yours whether to try something better in Penida

Friendly and helpful staff. Because the hotel only has 10 bungalows, you can relax there. The breakfast is very good. You can also eat very well there in the evening. Eating out is not recommended as the kitchen in the hotel is much better than the warungs in the distant area. Crystal Bay is 10 minutes walk away. The hotel complex is in good condition and the rooms are also well maintained.

Really calm and Nice location.The restaurant is TOP because of the nice meal for dinner. For breakfast you can choose one dish. Of pay extra for more dishes.I give 5 star because of the environment and the service. Everyone was friendly.The rooms are a bit dark,

Nice serene and quiet location nested in the valley, surrounded by forest . Walking distance to Crystal bay to watch sunset and snorkelling in the coral beach. Owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating with excellent service . Food at hotel is nice. Breakfast is good served with a glass of freshly squeezed local fruit juice . The hotel driver Jo is a great tourist guide and we enjoyed our whole day outing with him very much

Lovely accommodation in a great location. The resort has scooters for hire which was very helpful. Nice pool, good restaurant, close to other restaurants and beaches like crystal bay and gamet bay. Not too far on the scooter to Kelingking beach. Highly recommend.

Excellent location for a relaxing vacation, with 10 separate cottages, a swimming pool. Located in middle of the hills, so it gives it a very beautiful view, with pleasant weather. The staff and owner is also very friendlyMake sure to have breakfast over there as they serve unique fruit smoothie bowls and fresh juices.The pool is open till late night so you can chill there with your favourite drinkThe Crystal beach is at a 10 minute walking distance, which can be a fun place to visit in the morning / evening.They also provide scooters for rent, so you can go for a thrilling two wheeler ride in the hills.It is generally not much crowded as it has remained an underrated gem.The cottages are also spacious and the bathrooms are very clean.From the hotel, famous places like Kelinglking beach, gamat bay etc are at a distance of more than an hour, so make sure you have appropriate travel facilities with you.Enjoy your stay!!

Three of us in two bungalows spent 3 nights at Mahaloka Valley at the beginning of May 2024. The stay was very pleasant. The hotel is located in the heart of nature. We see monkeys in the trees. The swimming pool is very pleasant. There is a restaurant to enjoy all 3 meals and also lovely restaurants 15-20 minutes away by scooter, if you want a higher level of cuisine. I recommend going to see the sunset at Crystal Bay, and the sunrise at the hotel. As is often the case in Indonesia, the staff is professional and attentive. I appreciated the bungalow and its semi-outdoor shower. Scooter riding in Nusa Penida requires a lot of attention and caution. If you are not comfortable, take into account the location of your hotel to access the remarkable sites. In the case of this hotel, if you enjoy traveling the island on two wheels, then you will have plenty to do.

Nusa Penida is really good at letting tourists feel the local culture, excluding the daytrippers traps. Mahaloka Valley resembles this very specific atmosphere that a tourist looking to immerse themselves with the local and still do so with relative comfort. The location is remote and mixed in with local folks. The staff are wonderful! Food is not their forte, but one can still feel the passion for serving the staff has on their guests. The serenity of the place at night is amazing. I’d love to come back here whenever around Bali.Please support this type of place, but don’t change the locals!
