We just checked out of the lodge. We only stayed for one night, but we enjoyed it so much that I’m already writing my review for it…The staff were attentive, helpful, and kind. I didn’t have great expectations for the food here (as the lunch buffet during our full day tour was quite underwhelming), but the dinner was also pleasant. The servings are larger than your usual 60-80 baht a dish restaurant, so I felt like the price of the food was fair given the location of the lodge.The only thing I would note for foreign visitors is to make sure your Thai eSIM or SIM card allows you to make calls. The lodging is a bit of a walk from the main lobby, so you’ll need to call them to request pick up.The highlight of our stay here was the elephants coming around to the front of our room.We will definitely be back.

If you love elephants you have to come here.Not exactly cheap but with guaranteed contact with elephants.We had a villa with a pool and direct access to the outdoor enclosure.

We visited the elephant restaurant.Absolutely fine food.Good view of grassland where elephants come to visit and monkeys swing in the trees.We found it to be a good lunch stop.p.s. there are beautiful tigers along the road to the elephant restaurant.

I'll keep it short. Amazing place, go there. You will not regret it. Ethical, great care shown to the animals, incredible setting, lovely food in the restaurant. Such a sense of peace when there. My 8 and 10 Yr old loved it.

Absolutely impressive project worth supporting!! This is extremely IMPORTANT!!!!!! Especially if you are against animal cruelty and have ever looked into the eyes of chained working or riding elephants! The day tours are very interesting and informative. The hotel rooms are modern, but a bit old (you only sleep there for a short time ;) and in the morning you wake up to the singing of the gibbons and elephants walk past the sunbathing terrace during breakfast. The food is absolutely amazing! They really try hard there and achieve it.I can recommend it to anyone who wants to experience something very special and heartfelt.Thank you for the wonderful days with you and the experience <3 Steven Lingg 07/28/24

Overall, this was a pretty memorable 'safari' type experience, but with the added bonus of feeling like you're supporting a good cause.Lodge- We stayed in a bungalow with a pool. It's an incredible proposition - there are a few lined up overlooking the pasture where elephants and gibbons roam. However, there are only eg 7 elephants over a huge space, so don't expect loads of close encounters. Perhaps the lodges could have binoculars? (not a joke)- Worth knowing that the lodge is very open - no locks on front doors and no sliding doors in the living room at all. Which just means that a) evenings spent playing cards etc are with insects whether you like it or not and b) if you have smaller kids you night get paranoid about e.g. the no-fence pool or no-fence drop into the elephant enclosureTour- We did a full day tour. It was run by a very impressive guide called Edda who showed off the whole setup- Worth knowing that due to the good work they've done with elephants they've picked up something like 60 species of animals over time. Which means that on that tour you're looking at elephants about 10% of the time, but alongside gibbons, tortoises, tigers, otters etc. You do end by feeding the elephants, but I think the name suggests elephants fetishism when it's now a broader sanctuaryService- It feels like what it (probably) is - a sanctuary that decided to build lodges vs vice versa- Just meaning service is a little haphazard eg no well signposted on the way in, no sense of a checkin desk (grab someone who looks like they work here)
