I had high hopes for this place, especially after seeing the positive reviews, and I want to start by saying that the staff here are incredibly kind and pleasant. Unfortunately, my experience was not as great, and I feel it's important to share some constructive feedback for future guests.When I asked for additional room photos before booking, I was only sent two very selective images, which I found a bit misleading. While the room itself was not small, it felt dark and poorly prepared, almost like an "occasion hotel" that wasn't set up for a comfortable stay. I’ve attached my photos to give a better idea of what the room actually looked like.One of my main issues was with the window situation. I had specifically requested a room with windows, which was confirmed (WhatsApp screenshot attached). While there was technically a window, it faced an indoor walkway, offering no natural light or fresh air. Worse, there was a bright lightbulb outside in the walkway, and the thin curtain didn’t help. The light also streamed in through a second small window that had no curtain at all, making it impossible to block out (photos attached). This really affected my ability to sleep.I stayed on the top floor, which is next to the family's chicken farm. Now, I completely respect and even appreciate the early morning prayer sounds, which are part of the local experience. However, the issue was that the rooster seemed to start crowing even earlier because of the prayers. By 4AM, it was crowing non-stop, which made it impossible to get any more rest. I ended up leaving around 8AM, thoroughly exhausted.The shared bathroom was another downside. It consisted of a toilet, urinal, and a cold water shower. There was no basin, and I feel it's a bit of a stretch to call this a "washroom"—it’s more of a basic toilet with a shower hose.Normally, given all these factors, I would leave a 1-star review, but because the staff were so lovely and there seems to be a language barrier, I feel conflicted. I believe that for some guests, especially those staying on the ground floor and facing the other side of the building, the experience could be completely different. The view from the terrace, for instance, is absolutely stunning (photo attached), which is one of the highlights of my stay.Suggestions for future Guests:- Avoid staying in the top floor rooms near the chicken farm unless you don’t mind being woken up at 4AM by a very loud rooster.- Double-check with the staff that your room has windows facing outside, and confirm whether the windows can actually be blocked from external light.In summary, there’s potential here for a great stay if you get the right room.---I hope this review helps others make a more informed choice.

Cozy place. The rooms are spacious and the bed very comfortable. Very clean facilities.Includes breakfast.It is located in a very quiet area without noise.The man who serves you is very kind. If you want, they have a shuttle service to the airport.A success.

Great accommodation, very clean, cold and silent air conditioning, hot water, drinking water available, wifi. Very good quiet location. The airport is within walking distance but Anton kindly escorted us to the airport. Simple and fluid communication via WhatsApp. Very nice view from the terrace. For me, the best quality/price ratio in the city. I 1000% recommend going to Anton and his family. All the best !

As most of the guesthouse es in Flores, this one is not on the booking platforms but feel free to send them a message. The view form the terrace is everything, The couple in charge will make your stay one to remember. Breakfast is included in the price. Cold air con, small fridge to store your bits, comfy bed, a stones throw to the main viewpoints and airport and you can refill your bottle of water 24/7. They even let me store my backpack while I was away at the boat tour. Definitely feels like you’re home away from home. ❤️

A beautiful place!I really enjoyed my time here!The homestay is new and very clean, the rooms are large, modernly furnished and everything works perfectly (cold/hot water, air conditioning,…).From the large roof terrace you have a fantastic view of the harbor! If you like, there is also enough space here to do yoga or a workout, or just have breakfast in peace.The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful and ensure that you feel comfortable and in good hands at all times! Everything really fits here!Thank you for the great stay! 🙏🏼

very pleasant

Just above the city center within walking distance with a picturesque view of the bay of Labuan Bajo. super clean - everything seems very new and well maintained. Large terrace simply, functionally and stylishly furnished. Large covered part with sockets also suitable for working. The homestay is right on the street and is absolutely quiet in the evenings and at night. Breakfast with fresh fruit, delicious coffee and a different delicious pastry every morning. Highly recommended - we appreciate the somewhat remote location with peace and quiet before Bargedöns. And very good restaurants can be reached from here in just a few minutes on foot. With Grab you can also have your food delivered and enjoy it on the terrace.
