We’ve been visiting West Sumbawa for years and Merdeka is our GO-TO for a wholesome, good time. Location on top of the hill gives you the most insane view of 2 surf spots on opposite sides of the bay. It’s only 10-15 minutes stroll to the beach and even faster by scooter.They have Starlink WiFi and a sitting desk area. There were a handful of remote workers on my trip so the fast WiFi was extremely handy for a couple work emails. Lots of nooks for people to be on their laptops and read a book.The rooms are cozy and offer en-suite toilets. We’ve slept in the dorms before as well and loved the extra air flow. There is a shared toilet and shower if you’re in the dorms.Dinners are communal if you’d like to join the other guests. Merdeka brings a cool mix of people from all different walks of life. Makes for interesting conversations and big laughs.Would highly recommend staying at Merdeka. The crew that run it are like family 🙂

Incredible place with a magnificent view of the bay, we are very well received, the rooms are very clean and the fans are very sufficient for a good night's sleep after surfing. Top location close to yo-yo’s, tropical and other spots. Very quiet and the included dinner is absolutely delicious! Go for it without hesitation!

Wow. What a place. The best view I've had from an accom ever!! Such a great location only minutes away from world class surf, a great crew and the tastiest dinners! I'll be back guys, definitely stay here if you're visiting West Sumbawa, it's just a pity supersucks wasn't breaking when I was there!

It is a spectacular accommodation and at the same time a beautiful project by a couple of Australian surfers.The views from all rooms in the house are impressive. The Supersuck wave looks perfect.Large and fully equipped kitchen.Pleasant and comfortable common areas, which invite you to relax and engage in conversation with other travelers.Dinner, included in the price, is varied and abundant. You dine in the common area together with others and create a family and close atmosphere, a great idea!The hosts Georgia and Joey, along with the service staff, make the stay very pleasant, always ready to help you with a smile.It has been a real pleasure to share our stay with you.Thank you very much for everything Merdeka family!!See you soon!!

One of the nicest places we've stayed in indo. Awesome food, scenery, the local village Maluk has some amazing local food, friendly staff, beds were super comfy and rooms were clean and newly built. Definitely have to stay here if your heading to west sumbawa
