Super friendly staffWe stayed at theVILLA RATNA 1Nice swimming pool however the humidity was higher than other hotels as many accommodations in BALI are filled with saltpeter and mold. They build on the rice fields.Otherwise, a nice walk nearby to reach the monkey forest in complete peace and quiet through the rice fields.I'll let you venture on.

We stayed in Villa 1 for 3 weeks. It was clean and had little quirks here and there that we quickly got over. The service was great and we were always spoiled with small and large treats. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is also great if you want something a little quieter but not too far from the center.

Quiet villas with private pool and a large shared pool nearby (we stayed in Villa 3). The villa was perfect for 4 people. There were 2 rooms, a large bathroom and 2 double beds with mosquito nets. A small kitchen with simple equipment was sufficient to cook breakfast or small things. Overall good price/performance ratio and really quiet.

A 1 bedroom villa with swimming pool at excellent value for money. Located in a quiet alley next to the center, we were able to get around Ubud easily.

One of the worst treatments we have ever received. We stayed for 5 days at Villa Ratna and on the day of our arrival they told us that our rooms were occupied and they had to relocate us. Far from apologizing or looking for a solution for us, the host Ratna was despotic and threatening, and finally seeing the error, she granted us a 15% discount. When it came time to pay that discount, I didn't know if it was applied and when we reminded her of this, she became threatening and aggressive again, to the point of recording us with her cell phone while insulting us. We didn't have any problems with the staff or the villas (although the cleanliness could improve and some things didn't work), but Ratna's treatment was something I had never seen before. I recommend not booking in this villa because perhaps when you arrive you will not have your room and the solution that the owner is going to give you is none.

I'm not used to doing this but I strongly recommend this place.Although we had reservations several months in advance, our room was occupied when we arrived. We were relocated to another room well below the standard of the one we had reserved with mold on the walls, lights and air conditioning that did not work.Faced with all these inconveniences, we asked for compensation from our host who became violently angry and told us that "it made no difference to us anyway because we had the means to pay".Looking at the various comments, I realize that we are not an exception but that this practice (scam) is very customary in these places.I can only advise you against it at the risk of you finding yourself in the same situation.

We arrived at the accommodation and the place was occupied by other guests, which was a double booking, the hostess and owner relocated us to another place with different conditions than those contracted and by demanding compensation from her in very bad ways and without apologizing in any way. moment he treated us in a derogatory, threatening and disrespectful manner. Fatal.

After one week at this villa we became very acquainted with the quirks and features ratnas place had to offer. There’s lots of vegetation around the villa which looks really beautiful in the photos however in reality it creates a cesspool of insect spiders ants that crawl all over the open air bathrooms. The house suffers from foundational problems cracks in the walls and paint and foundation itself. The electric work is shoddy as if you have too many appliances on at once the breakers will flip off. The pool motor stopped working halfway through our stay rendering the pool pool a useless over chlorinated toxic pit of water. Laundry services and scooter rentals were very cheap relative to the rest of ubud. The villa itself is about 15 minute walk from a main road however they provide a free scooter. The biggest issue is that the beds were not comfortable and the mattresses were too hard to sleep on your side. Also there’s like three abandoned construction projects with stray dogs living in them right next to the villa. The dogs will bark all night long and there’s rusty metal scaffolding poles sticking out in the air that is constantly in view while you’re at this villa. It’s also noteworthy to say it’s located on a rice patty farm so there’s farm animal noises and roosters almost constantly.

This place was amazing. I don't know if I could say enough good things about this. it was clean it was very nicely situated had its own private pool, the lady that ran it went above and beyond helped with any request we could think of, they also had a laundry service would they picked up your laundry washed it dried it folded it and put it back in your room for you and all for about 3 bucks. We even requested a floating breakfast to be delivered to us one morning, which they delivered on fantastically. This location was great everything you would need if you just wanted to stay there they had shops they had tons of dining had a place that you could change up your money laundry, spa, and again very Great prices. I would say if you want to rent a scooter this is highly recommended but again the lady that you rent this villa from had the best prices from everybody. It was about $6 a day. They really do treat you well. The one drawback is the villa is towards the end of a very long pathway but when you get there they have bellboys that will take your bags all the way down there for you and will give you a ride on a scooter down there so you don't have to walk. We rented scooters for the whole time we were there so after that we just rode our scooter back and down so the long path was not an issue. Again can't say enough good things about this day Highly would recommend.
