Bale Mandala Villas

Great villa, very clean, friendly staff.

We have been traveling for almost two months and our last stop was Indonesia before heading back to the home life and grind. We chose Lombok because we came once in 2018 but hadn't had the opportunity to return due to COVID restrictions globally and being too busy. We came accross Bale Mandala Villas by accident as it was a last minute search and after reading reivews decided to take a chance and go for it.It has been an amazing experience!! The staff are what made it more special with their professionalism, availability and kind hospitality. Uni is the property manager and was here to greet us on arrival and provide a walk through and explanation of the daily provisions and 'just in case' contact details. She and her staff are ALWAYS available when you need them and reply to your messages in minutes with a solution to fit your needs.MitTong, Hanah and the other lovely young lady that supported us daily are amazing. MitTong was our security and daily on-site contact person, always helpful and polite keeping an eye on things while we are here taking it easy. Hanah and the other young lady were here daily to bring us a delicious healthy fresh breakfast to start our day off right and with a smile. The fresh breakfast is a TREAT! Miss it already.Housekeeping was daily and any additions required (within reason of course) were provided.The Villa and property itself are quiet and relaxing, the pool was a plus especially consdiering we came during the rainy season. A dip was still possible as Indonesia is always warm. The area is not far from town and if you rent a scooter it's a quick out and back anywhere or, you can call a GRAB (local Uber).Some bits for future guests:1 Area is safe and secure (the locals are welcoming and friendly)2-Fully equipped kitchen and ready for self service if you want to cook ( I refused b/c am on holiday :-) )3- Transportation: GRAB or rent a scooter. You can also ask Uni to organize airport transfer out and back if needed. This was a great option for us. She can also help you get a scooter which will be delivered to the property for you. All for a good price.4- WiFi worked great (my business in completely online so was constantly connected with no disruptions and it's the rainy season)5- Credit card accepted for any extras you need if supported by Bale Mandala Villas (BMV) or in town of course.6- Supermarkets are available, the one for Western type foods is called Fresh Market, but I prefer supporting local communities and buy from stands along the roads or the Surya Supermarket.7-Laundry services accessible in the area and the staff at the Villa can manage this for you8-The drivers that pick you up from the airport can also help with tours if you would like to go somewhere (meaning you can coordinate your own tour and then ask them to drive you places). You only pay them for the transportation.Minor suggestions for owner:Some slight upkeep may be needed to the property inside i.e. kitchen cabinets, humidity damage to random spots inside home on walls (which is normal in such climate, some new couch covers or nice batik fabric to cover some of the normal wear imperfections etc. ... ). Perhaps leave some cleaning accessories such as a broom or mop in case guests want to tidy up a bit even if housekeeping is provided. Summed up, small fine tuning to be considered.We will definitly return here and recommend this place to friends and family. We will miss the staff and people of Lombok that we had the pleasure to meet in such a short time.Thank you for everything. Thank you for taking such good care of us.Angelique
