Staying at this place made me realize that my traveling on a shoestring backpacking days are FAR behind me. Rooms are tiny, very noisy and extremely basic, but reasonably clean. Shared kitchen outside, including plenty of local fauna crawling around. I guess if you want to survive in Kuta on a budget for as long as possible, this might be for you. I decided to moveout after the first night to something more comfortable. The owner was nice enough to cancel the rest of our reservation without any hassle, so 4 stars for service.

Owner was very lovely and a nice man. We booked for 3 nights and decided to stay for a night and moved to a bigger room with a swimming pool. Overall we had a good one night stay

The Pondok was a perfect and lovely place to stay. It was so great that I extended my stay from a week to a month. The owner and his family are kind people. They were so helpful with everything, especially when I crashed on my motorbike. The place is very clean, bed is comfortable and big, and the wifi is great. The setup also feels very private and safe. It feels like you have your own little yard! There is also a kitchen which is very convenient a few feet away. It is in a perfect location that is very walkable with amazing restaurants and warungs minutes away. A lovely yoga place, Shanti Yoga is a 10 minute walk and the beach is a 20 min walk.I would give this place more stars if I could. I highly, highly, highly recommend the Pondok. Great value!
