Villa Tchikobo

The villa itself is stunning. Fabulous layout, gorgeous view of the jungle & rice fields. The decor was lovely, pool was fab, linen, beds & amenities all great. Kitchen could be better equipped with plastic cups for the pool area. Housekeeping staff did a great job. Filtered water & daily servicing of the villa was excellent.There was constant noise of grinders on a neighbouring construction site & a mosque about 1km away, but we managed to block it out with our own music most of the time.Our host/concierge Agung was friendly & welcoming, however we felt very pressured to book our activities through him from the moment we arrived, which we didn’t really want to do. It wasn’t our first time in Bali and we were happy to do our own research & book our own activities, however we were constantly asked by him to book through him… the tours he booked for us just turned into tourist traps where we felt everyone involved got a kick back. We were not impressed as we were promised if we booked through the concierge we would get better tours and better prices - that wasn’t the case. Agung did book a craft class for us which was very good though - highly recommend Bali Purma Art!!The villa is 5-10 mins out of town & it was hard to book taxis to our location (we had kids with us so scooters wasn’t a safe option) however it was very peaceful in the evenings.Overall a very pleasant stay in this villa!

We stayed here for 8 nights. The villa is beautiful and the pool with the jungle view is amazing. The host was very friendly and helpful. Unlike the other review we didnt feel pressured into getting a tour from the host. Only downside of the villa is that it is a bit outside of town and not much around. However there is a little local shop right around the road to the villa (1min walk). They have beer and drinks at a resonable price. Getting a taxi from the villa can be tricky as they „don’t allow“ Grab in that area. We ignored that and were able to get a Grab 9/10 times. Overall a great place to stay with a family!
