Mixed Experience at Teba Suci Suite, BaliWe, a family of four, stayed at Teba Suci Suite for 3 nights during our Bali trip and had a mixed experience. There were several aspects we really enjoyed, but some things didn’t quite make sense to us.What We Liked: The rooms were incredibly spacious, clean and felt luxurious. Every area—living room, bathrooms, balcony—was huge, sometimes even to the point where it felt like an overuse of space. Everything was clean and fitted with high-quality furnishings, which added to the overall aesthetic appeal. The beds were comfortable, and all the modern amenities were provided. The restaurant was equally spacious and offered a decent variety of food, which was both tasty and hygienic. Our included breakfast had good options, including fresh fruits, juices, tea, coffee, and hot dishes. The service was good, and the staff made us feel very welcome. The pool was beautiful, and the view of the rice fields added a calming touch. The location itself was peaceful and serene, yet not too far from central Ubud. Thanks to Grab, getting food delivered or booking cabs was easy. Wi-Fi was decent, though each bedroom had its own SSID, which felt a bit unusual. Heavy wooden furniture and décor throughout the house added to the aesthetic and charm.Surprises: We were allocated two-bedroom suites that, while adjacent, but were not interconnected. This was a bit odd as we expected a more unified layout, though we understand this could be useful for accommodating separate guests. Inside the unit, the placement of electrical sockets was confusing—for instance, there was no shaver socket, and the usual electric socket wasn’t conveniently located near the countertop. Similarly, there was no socket near the kettle, which made it difficult to use in its designated spot. There was also no air conditioning in the living/common areas. The heavy wooden doors, while beautifully carved, allowed mosquitoes and flying insects to enter through the designs during the evening and night. The kitchen, although modern-looking, was not equipped with enough utensils for actual cooking, making it feel more decorative than functional.Lastly, the location of the hotel came as a bit of a surprise. It’s about a 200–300 meter walk from the main road, as cars can’t reach the property directly. While there are electric carts available for transport and the walk itself is short and pleasant, it did catch us off guard at first. After the initial surprise, though, we grew accustomed to the stroll, which was clean and easy.Overall: Teba Suci Suite has its pros and cons. The luxurious feel, great service, and serene location are definite highlights, though some design choices and functional aspects could be improved.
