First time here as a basecamp for amphibian and reptile research. The place is quite nice, comfortable, beautiful with a strong traditional impression. The surrounding area is still quite natural, there are many wild animals including bido eagles. Suitable for healing and educational places.

At the Watu Lumbung Culinary Place, we can experience the pleasure of eating "ndeso" food on a teak tree hill with views of the Opak River and the Kretek Bridge that crosses the river. Some of the ndeso dishes that we can eat include vegetable kluwih, lodeh, bobor, stir-fried long beans, fried tempeh, omelettes, onion chili sauce, tempeh chili sauce, and so on. At night we can also order Javanese godok or fried noodles. Simplicity seems dominant in Alas Culinary. Apart from the menu where all the ingredients are obtained from the surrounding garden, the food dishes are also made of tin plates, not glasses. So don't be surprised if the price is really cheap, the most expensive is IDR 15,000. To drink, we can order warm ginger drink which is very suitable for the cool, breezy air. There is also tea pot plus rock sugar which is nasgithel - hot, legi (sweet) and kenthel (thick) - typical of Yogyakarta.
