the upside:1. best value for money. there are 4 rooms in this house: 1 on the front, 2 inside the house and 1 upstairs and a sofa bed also. you can share this house with 8 people so that's a very good value in money. each room has its own AC and smart TV. so you can rest after a long trip to jogja while watching whatever streaming platform you like.2. very easy to find food and bery close to a minimart. indomaret probably only 100m away, you can get local food in walking distance (i tried sate klathak and mie jombor which tasted soooooo good!!!!), mcd also very close to omah jombor and late at night there is angkringan just a few steps from the house.3. essential amenities and facilities. towels, soap and shampoo are provided on each bathroom, the hot water is the bomb! they also provide us with water dispenser, cookware, tableware, utensils, hairdryer, even ironing for us to use.4. fast internet. we all need this!5. there's a parking space enough for 1 car.-the downside:1. there are A LOT OF BUGS! ants, spiders, cockroaches, rayap, even in the bathroom of the main house, there was a hugeeee gecko. (it fell while my sister was using the bathroom and she screamed like crazy 🤣)2. problems on my room: i slept on room #1 (on the front) and the owner didn't warn us about the noises from the bus terminal. don't let light sleeper sleeps in this room, because at night and in the morning, buses come and go and the make LOUD noises like the telolet-telolet and their bus brake sound.also, there are a lot of people sit/waiting/hanging out in front of the house and when they're chatting it sounded like they're in the garage and it's quite loud and annoying.on the room #1, there are also small ventilasi udara which are not closed by kasa (bugs can go through it) and some of them are in a weird position. they're literally on the side of the bed, so if it wasn't closed, people on the street can see the inside/us sleeping 😅 please just get rid of that weird window.and lastly, on my last night, i found huge gecko sh*t on my bed (i attached the image) which are very unfortunate for the rest of my experience there 😭3. the house was quite dirty when we arrived. we need to sweep the floor of every room before we can get comfortable. very unfortunate because first impression is very important.4. room #2 was okay, the bed is not as good as room #1 (please update the bed). room #3 has no window and smell bad (like the smell of unused old room) please build a window. room #4 is upstairs, no one sleeps there but i think there is no AC? (i hope i'm wrong)5. the blanket is too small for 2 people. 🙂----even though there are a lot of things to improve in omah jombor, it's actually a quite decent place to stay. i can't say it was horrible, but it could be A LOT BETTER! the host also very nice, they provided us with everything we need including paper to cover the small window (it doesn't reduce the noises from the outside tho 🥲). the vibe somehow is very homie although the bugs are very problematic. (please at least use hogasan!!!!!!!) overall, we might come back! thank you for having us 🙏🏻
