A rustic, beautiful, and totally unique experience of Jogja. Staying in Omah Guyub 2, with its handcrafted wood and traditional structure, is like going back in time. The bungalow is located in the villages south of the city in the Bantul area, an area home to many of the city's art and music makers. I have stayed by myself and with my family and had a wonderful experience each time. The owner Andy is a musician and craftsman who built the house himself and knows the area and its creative world very well. He and is extremely generous in giving his time and support to visitors who want to connect with artists, musicians, dancers, and experience everyday life. Omah Guyub is a gem unlike any other place you will stay in Java.
