We spent 4 days and 3 nights at Vanilla Cottage Tetebatu. Hiro, his wife and his staff are very caring, very helpful and pleasant. We really appreciated Hiro's frankness and honesty, and if you would like him to guide you around, don't hesitate to negotiate with him😉😇The accommodation is spartan but very clean and it is excellent value for moneyThe food is very good and the portions very large. And the breakfast is also varied and very generous.Hot water in the shower.We can hear all the surrounding mosques very well, sensitive ears remember earplugs!!😆No terrace except that of the restaurant

Very good place!Very good value for money with only 3 rooms so no mass tourism!The welcome is really good with a host who is always very smiling and friendly.You really feel like you're living with a local and it's really nice.Last little extra, possibility of buying vanilla produced on site ;)Thank you for the welcome and the stay.

We had an incredible stay! The name vanilla cottage is not fictitious! The whole land is a beautiful garden where Hir (the owner) grows fruit and vanilla!The unit we rented was very clean and private.The food is authentic and delicious and is cooked by his wife.Hir also offered us a tour where he showed us beautiful rice fields, the jungle, a waterfall and explained to us the different cultures and customs of Tetebatu. An incredible experience!Thank you again Hir for welcoming us to your home!

We had a great time at Vanilla Cottage. Hir was an amazing host, who has so much knowledge to share about the local area. There's such a variety of fruit and vegetables growing in this area, and Hir was able to tell us all about them.We went on a tour with him where he took us to two incredible waterfalls, through rice terraces, and through some local houses. Everyone was so friendly. We definitely recommend staying at Vanilla Cottage!

We enjoyed 4 brilliantly relaxing night with Hir and his family at Vanilla Cottage Tetebatu. Our room was immaculately clean, a comfy bed with mozzy net, and a clean private ensuite.Hir was an exceptional host and really made our stay that much more relaxing and comfortable. The homestay has an absolutely BEAUTIFUL garden with lots of tropical fruits growing and greenery to welcome you when you wake. The free breakfast is tasty, and their attached Warung restaurant is fantastic serving up tasty Indonesian dishes.I thoroughly recommend taking Hir's Tetebatu walking tour of the village which sees you truly explore the vast and authentic rice terraces (not like the tourist ones you see in Bali), 2 waterfalls, have exotic fruits pointed out to you the entire way, a stroll through the monkey forest, and a tasty cup of coffee at a local spot. Honestly can't recommend this place highly enough to just come and relax from the hustle and bussel in lush green nature.
