I was at the Gangga Island Resort from September 30th, 2024 to October 10th, 2024. After 3 days, I felt like I had been there for ages. The fact that after 1 week you forget that you are on an island speaks for pure relaxation. The resort is a dream, very well run by Nonie, the manager. She has her eyes everywhere and sees when something is missing. I really enjoyed the privacy. The bungalows are far apart and you don't immediately look at your neighbor's terrace. The bungalows are very nicely furnished. No frills, but very attractive decoration. You can make coffee and tea at any time, even if you are a big coffee drinker like me. Coffee and powdered milk were refilled at any time. There is also a large water dispenser in the bathroom. This is probably always checked. When mine ran out of water, it was replaced with a new one. What I appreciated was the cleanliness. The resort is constantly being cleaned, whether on the beach or in the resort. The pool was always very clean. The pool is beautifully laid out. There are enough loungers and places to sit. There is shade from the many palm trees and otherwise there are parasols. When you come back to the bungalow in the evening, it had been cleaned again. Unfortunately, I was ill and the resort took such good care of me. The chef gave me special tea and the doctor they sent for was great. A good examination and her medication helped me. After 2 days, I felt much better. Another very good solution are the loungers on the beach. You have your privacy there too. They are far apart and each bungalow has its own loungers, which are labeled with the bungalow number. I was in bungalow 3B in front of the beautiful sandy beach, which is also very clean. The bungalow is not far from the restaurant and the diving center. The diving center, as far as I (more than 1000dives) can tell, is very well run by Johann. The guides are competent, help where they can, have good eyes, and the briefing is very good and detailed. I had new equipment and I dived with it first. They showed consideration. The groups are small, there were three of us with a guide. What I liked was that we had the same guide the whole time. I also saw that one guest had the same guide, even though the guest was alone. Compliments to you. Thanks to my guide Anis and Etos, who had his eyes everywhere and helped. The best thing for me was Simon the cook. His food is very delicious and tasty. I'm a vegetarian. When he found out, he came straight over to me and asked what I eat, what I don't eat, and what I like. There was a mix of buffet and 4-course menu. If there was something on the menu that wasn't really for vegetarians, Simon would take his magic wand and make a surprise for vegetarians and I can only recommend that. Magic. A big thank you to all the staff. You can see and feel that you love your work. Always willing to listen, always friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work. I will definitely come back.

My partner and I just did 5 days at Gangga, including 3 days diving. The resort is beautiful and has a feeling of great privacy. The bungalows are quite spread out and it's very peaceful in the grove of trees along the beach.  …

Wonderful destination with a very private and quite beach. Hospitality is awesome with very caring staff. Food quality is on highest standard, there is typically two meat, two fish and one veg dish to choose from where one is more mediterranean influenced and one local with great spices. Our kids had the option to go for Pasta as an alternative. As snorklers we typically joined the boat with the divers but also sometimes went alone as snorklers. Anton is a great guide and we seen sea snakes, moray eel, turtles, sting rays, baby sharks and many beautiful corals and reef fish. You will have to join the boat as swimming/snorkling from the beach is not really possible.

We spent a wonderful week in Gangga Island. After a warm welcome, we were always looked after in a friendly manner by everyone. The food was excellent, there was always fish and chicken, everything was always fresh and very tasty, water was included for free. The dives were all beautiful, we did a day trip to Lembeh and Bunaken. Our guides Berti and Anise showed us lots of small and big things, our little one was well looked after by her personal guide Gabriel, it was a lot of fun.The massage from Shelly and Bunga was so good that we treated ourselves to another one the following day.We can fully recommend the resort.
