The homestay is located right by the ocean and in front of a great dive center. It‘s a very simple but comfortable accommodation. You’ll have your own bungalow with a shared bathroom that has no running water. The food is simple, but traditional and tasty. The hammocks and beanbags in front of the bungalow are amazing! The electricity will be turned on at 6pm and there is no WIFI.Be aware if you are someone who wants and needs more comfort/luxury, this homestay might not meet your expectations. For me the homestay was great as I love simple things and I would stay there again - in combination with the dive center in the back I had the best time there and felt like living in paradise.

Lots of potential, however family needs to learn about the basics of hospitality. Nice bungalows with hammock, bean bags and some of them even have private bathrooms. Beautiful sunset views. Plastic containers were provided to store food.Lots of trash on the beach, family didn't bother to keep the premises organized and trash free. You could see old flip flops and other things in the sand. There is no jetty, so everyday when people get in and out of the boat they step on the coral. Coral right in front of the beach is therefore mainly dead coral. Reef drop off is really far out compared to other home stays. Our room had an ensuite bathroom, which was not cleaned before we arrived and someone had left #2 in there. This why I can’t give more than 2 stars. Price is similar to other home stays in Raja Ampat, while other home stays provide much better value.

We stayed here two night on a bungalow with private bathroom.Positive: the room was spacious, with two cabinets for storage. Fan and mosquito net were provided and the bed was cleaned. Upon request they can provided plastic containers to store food. The room deck was nicely decorated with sea shells and had one hammock and two bean bags, which made it super pleasant to spend some time outside. Lunch and dinner was decent, some really nice dishes and others so so. Breakfast was probably my least fav meal of the day, with not much variety and quality (a lot of fried stuff). The quantities were smaller than previous home stays I’ve experienced. Sunsets were beautiful from their location.Negative: there’s no jetty, therefore the boat just runs through the coral and you have to walk on it, in order to reach the home stay. The house reef seemed pretty much dead and no much snorkeling to do around. The overall cleaning of the beach and home stay grounds was terrible, there was plastic, bottles, ripped clothes and buried shoes everywhere. Dogs were pooping on the beach. The hosts didn’t seem bothered about it and there was no effort on cleaning it. There was a constant chain saw noise, specially during the morning. Above all, what bothered the most was how unwelcome I felt during my stay. I would say the family lacked sensibility towards their guests, often they would be talking loud or screaming early morning. Almost no interaction with the guests, asking how’s the food/day/stay besides asking us to pay on the last day.The home stay has enormous potencial but the family would benefit from some hospitality training.

We cannot understand the good reviews and cannot recommend this accommodation. There is no jetty over the reef, meaning everyone has to walk on the reef (corals) every day to get to the accommodation or to the boat or to snorkel. The house reef is therefore completely destroyed. Snorkeling there isn't worth it either. At dinner we preferred to eat in the dark, as there were insects flying everywhere and a number of termites crawling over the dining table and landing on the dining table. The family does not speak English and does not seek interaction. A child in the family defecated into the sea in front of the food bungalow.Despite earplugs, we slept very little because the bats were active in our bungalow and at 6-7 a.m. the diving boat was prepared directly in front of our bungalow (1m) without any consideration for sleepers and was very loud. It was also very warm. There is a fan, but if you only have electricity until midnight and go to bed around 9 p.m., then the fan in the bungalow is of no use. There is no running water and little water in the containers for flushing on the toilet or washing hands. The mosquito net, hammock and bean bag were positive. We were very happy to leave the accommodation after 2 nights. The price for the accommodation was absolutely not fair. For the money, you can have a nicer, more hospitable and more environmentally conscious stay in other accommodations on Raja Ampat, where the owners put a lot of effort into developing their accommodation every day.
