We stayed here two night on a bungalow with private bathroom.Positive: the room was spacious, with two cabinets for storage. Fan and mosquito net were provided and the bed was cleaned. Upon request they can provided plastic containers to store food. The room deck was nicely decorated with sea shells and had one hammock and two bean bags, which made it super pleasant to spend some time outside. Lunch and dinner was decent, some really nice dishes and others so so. Breakfast was probably my least fav meal of the day, with not much variety and quality (a lot of fried stuff). The quantities were smaller than previous home stays I’ve experienced. Sunsets were beautiful from their location.Negative: there’s no jetty, therefore the boat just runs through the coral and you have to walk on it, in order to reach the home stay. The house reef seemed pretty much dead and no much snorkeling to do around. The overall cleaning of the beach and home stay grounds was terrible, there was plastic, bottles, ripped clothes and buried shoes everywhere. Dogs were pooping on the beach. The hosts didn’t seem bothered about it and there was no effort on cleaning it. There was a constant chain saw noise, specially during the morning. Above all, what bothered the most was how unwelcome I felt during my stay. I would say the family lacked sensibility towards their guests, often they would be talking loud or screaming early morning. Almost no interaction with the guests, asking how’s the food/day/stay besides asking us to pay on the last day.The home stay has enormous potencial but the family would benefit from some hospitality training.
