We stayed 5 nights at Tria Maria and had a wonderful time. The location is perfect in front of one of the most beautiful white sand beaches we have ever seen! Our hosts were super friendly and took care of all our wishes.There are a few points worth mentioning though since the published photos are somewhat outdated - there is no additional dining/hangout area, instead every cottage has its own small dining table which is fine. Second, there is a one meter high concrete wall built right in front of the cottages to protect them from high waters. So as you are relaxing on the sun beds you are starring at the wall instead of the beach which is not that great. Hope they plant some green in front of it to make it more pleasant.Also, if the owners are reading this a few well ment suggestions: some foam mattresses for the sun beds would make the stay much more pleasant. Also, the towels are made of polyester not wicking any moisture at all, it feels like drying with a polyester blanket which is not so great at all - please replace with proper cotton towels.All in all a great experience and a lovely time, much recommended as long as this place is still authentic and not packed with tourists!!

Negative:- Mattresses worn out- After the rain, water leaked into the room, our things on the floor were wet- Breakfast consisted of 3 slices of toast and an egg and a tiny portion of fruit- no direct access to the beach, you have to climb over a small gap next to a concrete wall- Construction site right next door without prior information- Accommodation quite shabby- View of the beach somewhat obstructed by the concrete porch- no mosquito net for many mosquitoes and no suspension available- no water dispenser for drinking waterPositive:- warm water for showering- nice staff, owner speaks English- nice location on the beach- Possibility to rent a scooter- Accommodation on price after our complaint- Transport from/to the port/airport at an additional cost, reliable

It feels like Barbie's tiny house, the bedroom and bathroom are quite spacious, clean and tidy. Comfortable. It's nice to be able to live right on a beach with the finest sand in the world. The promenade on the balcony is also calming and relaxing.Drying clothes can also be neat.Very suitable for self-healing in this cottage.

Awesome location in front of the most perfect white sand beach. The hut was more comfortable than we expected - we had WiFi, aircon and abundant hot water!Our friendly hosts looked after us well. They organised airport pick up/drop off for us. We also rented a motorbike and did a boat trip to Baer Island - all arranged by them.Food was simple but you have the option to eat at Ten Cafe nearby. The cafe will also deliver.Unfortunately, the unpredictable Lion Air cancelled our flight back to Ambon, so we had to leave a day early. Not impressed with that!

We arrived just yesterday and instantly love this place. Beautiful small bungalow at beach. And Ibu Ayu is a fantastic host.We will definitely come back one day.

Spring bed and how old it is they are broken and stick in your back. What a pain. Terrible bathroom and I didn't like the breakfast either. We arrived and a poor lady who didn't understand welcomed us. It's the most expensive with the worst services. I don't recommend it. At 100 meters you will find other better and cheaper accommodation

The location is strategic because it is close to the beach..a bit separated from the picnic area, it's calm and pleasant..the water is on and there's also hot water and full air conditioning..the kitchen is also available. It's complete... suitable for families and married couples

We spent 7 nights at Tria Maria and had a great stay. The two cottages are located right on the beach and each has its own sun loungers overlooking the sea. A couple of restaurant are within walking distance and Tual is ~20 min scooter ride away.The rooms themselves were spacious and clean with decent bedding provided. The WiFi works well and hot showers are available.We really enjoyed the breakfast included, the banana pancakes were really good!Airport pickups can be arranged for ~250k, and scooters can be rented for 100k/day. Scooters are ok, although head lights not the best which can make riding back from Tual in the evening challenging, especially in rainy weather - if you have a good torch it helps. Two helmets were also included, but these were not in the best condition.Additionally, boat trips can be organised. We didn't end up doing any but trips to the sandbar was quoted at 1.5M and Baeer Island for 1M - which we thought was on the pricey side.Other reviews have mentioned drain flies in the bathroom, there were some during our stay but not an excessive amount, we didn't find them troublesome. We also found the area to be very quiet at night with no loud music.If you like cats, there are a family of three who live around the cottages who are very friendly!Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting the Kei Islands.

She just left us there in the night until we woke up hours later and saw the news ourselves. We then asked her for transport to be evacuated right away, which was provided. Very careless and dangerous.- Bathroom was disgusting: full of sewer flies (fixed after 2 days), the water smelled like rotten eggs (fixed after 4 days), the floor flooded when showering- Noisy neighbourhood (loud karaoke at times during day and night)Pro's- Great location- Decent breakfast and beach beds

Really nice place to stay! Close to the beach and you'll have your on little terrasse with a stunning view to the beach and ocean. Ayu is a geat host and the banana pancakes for breakfast are delicious. They will come with chocolate cream as well :)

Great place to stay at Ngurbloat beach! It is right at the beach and the owners are nice! They also organize tours to Ngurtavur (snake island) and Bair Beach! Don’t forget to bring snorkeling gear, which you can also rent from the owners of Tria Maria Cottage!
