I purchased it on the application, but because there was a big event in Borobodur, the hotel asked to cancel it for operational reasons. Want to make a profit by selling at a higher price to foreign tourists 👎🏻

From the outside there is no visible accommodation and the entrance cannot be seen, because the accommodation is again in the alley from the car park. Affordable prices compared to nearby accommodation.

For those who want to go to Borobudur Temple, it's very suitable,Thank you Cempaka guest house, very good serviceWe ordered for the Borobudur marathon event, because there were many roads closed for the event, we were picked up and directed to the location, very super 😍,After the event at 11am, our breakfast was delivered to our room, plus a warm drink, we thought breakfast was over,Oh yes, if you bring a 4-wheeled vehicle, don't worry, you can park it in front, the land is very wide on the side of the road, the hotel is only 50 meters inside, the actual location is only 500 meters from the entrance to Borobudur, if you plan to go to Borobudur it is very suitable to spend the night here, safe, comfortable, clean rooms , there is a bathtub, hot and cold water, drinking water heater, coffee and tea sachets, 2 bottles of mineral water, sitting toilet, semi-outdoor like in Ubud, the owner is also nice,Thank you Cempaka Guest House, we will stay again for Borobudur Marathon 2024 🫡

For those whose main destination is Borobudur temple and do not bring private vehicles, this hotel is recommended.The room has no view.Because we took a vehicle and didn't go to the temple, the price we paid felt expensive.

I stayed the night of the Vesak celebration (Lantern Festival) at Borobudur Temple. The location is very convenient. So I don't have to take a vehicle, just walk to Borobudur. It's a little bit into a small alley, but it's not a problem. The AC in the room was cold, I was confused about turning on the TV, the bathroom was ok but the lights were a bit dim, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was not included because the staff was only 3 people.I ordered well in advance, 2 months before the festival. Had the wrong date, but the staff kindly rescheduled my order without any additional fees. It was truly one of the right decisions that made me enjoy the Lantern Festival comfortably.

When I came to check-in at midnight with the intention of wanting to rest straight away, instead I got into an argument with the fathers and asked me to pay in cash even though I had already paid for the online reservation. Instead of making more of a fuss, we were tired and just paid. In the morning, a complaint to Agoda was finally refunded by the guest house. OK, back to the room conditions. The linens are all clean and white and don't smell bad. The amenities are very complete, you can get a heater, 2 minerals, tea and sugar, toiletries including a hair shaver. The mattress is comfortable, the AC is quite cold. The bathroom doesn't smell and the hot water is quite difficult to regulate. It's really hot. The room floor still has sand in several corners. The remote TV doesn't work but the broadcast is quite clear and limited. There are lots of ants and mosquitoes. Termite marks on several parts of the walls. The comfortable and quiet atmosphere is typical of the countryside because it is in the Borobudur Temple area. For those who drive, be careful because parking is up via a fairly high sidewalk.

Inconvenient parking space when getting in and out of the car is a bit scary, the high sidewalk for the front or rear axle is scratched and slightly damaged

Stayed last month, just had time to review now. The position of the guest house is a bit inside and looks out if you're not careful. When I came here there was a sidewalk correction and the sign was being removed, so I was a bit confused. Friendly service, clean rooms, complete facilities. The room smelled musty because it had been empty for a long time, maybe during the pandemic. But overall it's really better than other guest houses. If you want to go to the Borobudur area, it's okay to stay here again. Great haha

Have stayed twice at Cempaka Guest House, and with the same room number 😂. Good service, clean rooms, among several guest houses, I prefer here, the reason is because it is cheap, clean and far from the crowds.
