This rental house experienced several serious problems that affected the comfort of its residents. Starting from the AC remote not working, possibly due to a damaged sensor, to the refrigerator not cooling, possibly due to damage to the compressor. Unfortunately, this complaint did not receive an adequate response from the property manager.As a rental property owner in Jakarta, I have a deep understanding of the importance of responding to tenant complaints quickly and efficiently. However, in this case, the property administrator did not seem to understand the urgency in addressing the problem reported by the tenant.The property administrator's resistant response, on the grounds that the previous tenant had never made a similar complaint, was inadequate. Each complaint must be handled individually and resolved carefully, regardless of previous complaint history. Communication via text messages or WhatsApp is not enough to solve complex problems like this.When it comes to responsibility for stained bed sheets and loose door handles, it's important to understand that most of these problems can be resolved with regular maintenance and proper care. Ignoring necessary repairs or blaming the tenant does not address the root of the problem.As a property owner, I have a responsibility to ensure that my property is in good condition and safe to live in. Fixing problems reported by tenants is not an option, but an obligation to ensure their satisfaction and comfort while staying at my property.In conclusion, effective property management requires open communication, quick responses to complaints, and preventive measures to keep the property in good condition. Resolving issues in a professional and responsive manner will strengthen the relationship between me as a landlord and my tenants, as well as ensure a good reputation for my property in the rental market.
