Very loving and owner-managed bungalow complex. Whether it's an island tour, ferry shuttle, excursion tips, meal requests, the owner Batancar and his team fulfill every wish, and always with a sincere smile on their faces. The garden between the bungalows including the pool is lovingly maintained and kept clean. We felt comfortable and welcome at every minute.

Hotel is run by a couple of young adults. They make promises that are not fullfiled. For instance we booked a snorkeling tour where we specifficaly asked if it was possible to only go to one spot to see the manta's. He reassured us this was possible because we asked this a number of times.However the actual tour took us to 3 spots where at 2 spots there were no manta's. When we came back we confronted him with this and he did not really have an excuse for this. When we asked for a supervisor there was no one there.And this happened a couple of other times aswell. They were also not clear with comimunication regarding prices of a transfer, other tours and food. So make sure you confirm prices 10x and write it down somewhere so you can check it later.The staff is most of the time just relaxing, watching tiktok or smoking. Not at all involved with the guests. However the female staff was very friendly.Room was decent but with an outdated bathroom where to showerhead came falling of the wall everytime we tried to shower. Other than that ok hotel.

Lovely cottages and a nice pool. The female staff are very kind and are happy to assist you. The male colleague, however, is less willing to help and prefers not to provide additional explanations. If you ask him something clearly three times, he listens poorly and only gives a convenient answer. Most of the day hé is on TikTok with the volume high. Do not make any agreements about prices and costs without writing them down. Otherwise, in the end, it will be your word against his.Also, keep in mind that water is not included, and you have to pay quite a bit of money to get it at the hotel. They make a nice profit from this. The breakfast service is good, the omelet is very tasty, and you can eat it in the pool.Beautiful place, but for us, the experience of making arrangements and booking excursions was unpleasant. It’s better to book through an external provider.

A green jewel on the rock. A lovingly designed garden with pool invites you to relax. Very quiet location. Whether it's a driver for an island tour, boat tickets or a scooter to explore yourself, a great team always takes care of every request with a smile on their faces. The food was always freshly prepared and very tasty...and the coffee was great. The bungalows had everything you need including air conditioning, were clean and also very well maintained. Kelinking Beach is within walking distance, but not necessarily suitable for swimming as there are very strong waves. If you like a challenge, you can try the steep path down to the beach. Sturdy shoes recommended. Other spots can be easily reached within 30-45 minutes by scooter or car (driver recommended). If we were to come to this island again, the Tatakan bungalows would definitely be our first choice. Thank you for everything! 😊

The only positive is the location near Kelinking beach. However, the room quality is poor, housekeeping not carried out daily and the air con is non existent! We're not done there, impossible to get a good night's sleep due to being woken up by roosters at 5am every morning. The rooms/bathrooms are very outdated and in serious need of renovation. However the worst thing was the cost of transport, it's blatantly obvious that they absolutely hyper inflate the prices, 300k (rupiah) for a 1 way journey which lasts 20 minutes is completely absurd and the staff are fully aware. Unfortunately I think this is the case across the whole island and has really put a spoiler on my trip to Bali. I will not be coming back to Nusa Penida again purely because of how much they take advantage. I don't mind paying "tourist tax". However, it's clear they triple/quadruple the price of things. Please do not stay here, or if you do, make sure it's no longer than 2 nights. To be honest, that's more than enough time to see the island. Truly, truly horrible staff, friendly to your face, but I will say again the HYPER INFLATED PRICES are completely insane. This opinion was also echoed with the other guests I conversed with. Real shame. Please save your money and stay in Bali, do a day trip or avoid altogether and go to the Gili islands. I was under the impression Gili was meant to be expensive but I promise you now, it's drastically cheaper considering they have to import everything from the mainland, I was truly stunned at how much cheaper it is over here. Do not, I repeat, do not stay on this godforsaken utterly and absurdly over priced Island.

The hotel staff are lovely and did their best to accommodate our every need.The food is delicious. Very pleasant swimming pool.The property offers scooter rental, driver to/from the port and snorkeling trips to Manta Point. Ideally located for an early morning walk to Kelingking Beach.Great stay at Tatakan Bungalow!

We stayed here as a family for 2 days/nights and felt comfortable. Nice accommodations with minimal deficiencies in the bathroom. Well-kept garden with clean pool. Great service from lovely employees. Very good location, 10 minutes walk to Kelingking Beach.

Nice stay, restaurant could improve the menu since it is a little outdated and not much choice but overall alright. Convenient since near the kelingking area.
