BAAN MAMA is word of mouth, the kind of address you want to keep secret.Fabulous experience with a top team! Marjo and Yann have just taken up the torch and shared their experience and love for elephants with us. The mahouts also give us the benefit of their expertise by allowing us to approach these majestic animals while remaining safe.This is an essential stop on our trip as the history of the country is marked by this being, but also a strong symbol of the Buddhist religion. Pleasant, typical and ethical center on the banks of the Khwae Noi river.As the center is being adapted to this activity, it could be interesting in the future to create an enclosure for the elephants, if this is technically possible.

There were 5 of us and we had an exclusive welcome at Baan Mama: an extraordinary family day in the company of elephants and their maouts, with explanations (in French) from Marjolaine who will answer all your questions. We fed, walked, and even bathed with the center's elephants, who are treated with care. The site is relaxing, and lunch by the water was very good. Truly a memorable day and a great welcome. Go for it!

We were welcomed during times of flooding but were (we weigh our words) EXTREMELY well taken care of, and pampered, thank you thank you thank you thank you.It was a FANTASTIC experience: Swimming as a family (2 adults and an 8 year old child) and walking in contact with the two elephants.We were alone in the world with the volunteers and the mahouts (THE trusted person chosen by the elephant).The French managers are very attentive, very educational, we learn a lot of things about the elephants but also the country.Thank you, it’s a memory that we will keep for life.Good luck for the future. We hope to return for our next vacation.

We had a great day with Tao and Punsap! Everyone has been great to us. We were lucky enough to just be “us”. I was scared with our 20 month old son but everything went well. We have compared many elephant camps and we are not disappointed with our choice. Already the elephants look very happy and being able to interact in French allowed us to ask all the questions we wanted. Thanks to everyone (and even the animals)!

We spent two nights and a day at Baan Mama with our 3 children aged 20 months to 6 years old. It was a great experience, we were in contact with the two elephants at the shelter while respecting their well-being. And we learn a lot about their way of life. Not to spoil anything, everyone at Ban Mama is adorable and the setting is magnificent (on the banks of the River Kwaï!).I particularly recommend this establishment if you are looking for an elephant sanctuary to go with children, because there are games (slide, swing...) as well as other animals (enclosures with pigs, cows... ), which will amuse the little ones. And on top of security!In short, don't wait any longer, go for it!

We spent two nights at Baan Mama. It was incredible, a timeless moment! We followed the two elephants in their daily lives for a day, at their own pace. Marjo took the time to teach us a multitude of information about elephants, it was great to be accompanied by someone so passionate and respectful of elephants! Two timeless days to the rhythm of walks and swimming with the two most beautiful elephants in Thailand ❤️ the team is fantastic, and our long discussions with them allowed us to learn lots of things about the world of elephants and to demystify some beliefs about their abuse. It is a little haven of peace by the water, and a paradise for animal lovers, who all receive a lot of love and care. Special mention for Mama's incredible food, which will have awakened our Belgian taste buds after five months of rice and noodles. We will remember this little stay all our lives!

If there is a place in Thailand where elephants are well regarded, it is at Mama!We spent a timeless moment discovering, in French, these impressive but accessible animals with Marjolaine's explanations and the expertise of the mahouts!Privileged, intimate moments... everything we were looking for!I highly recommend (also for the excellent food served morning, noon and evening!)!

Superb center (mainly French-speaking): the managers are adorable, there is a real desire to take care of the elephants and a passion for them which is reflected in the values and activities offered to tourists, which respect the animal but also in the fact of being able to feel connected to it due to the maximum number of people authorized, intimate and friendly atmosphere, it is a superb experience that I recommend (+ the very good food, the magnificent setting and all the others animals present at the center 😍)

Unfortunately I can only rate humanity.I was kayaking in the River Kwai with my children and had no way to get back to my accommodation because of the current.I drifted and ended up right here on land.I and my children were immediately helped with care and love - without any compensation.Thank you from the bottom of my heart!It's really like mom's!

During my stay in Thailand I wanted to meet elephants in a caring environment. After discussions with several travelers, I decided to come here. Meeting Tao and Punssap was an experience that I will never forget, mama will tell you adventures, you will learn so much by coming here while being respectful of others and the good atmosphere!
