Ta Yai Homestay

The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the restaurant is very delicious.

Lovely place next to the river. We felt very much at home in our cozy bungalow, where it was quite and a very friendly owner always with a smile on her face. There are free kayaks to use as long as you want and great breakfasts to choose from (a la carte and buffet). It’s also within walking distance of one of the most beautiful beaches of the island, restaurants and shops. Another plus: directly next door you can eat one of the best and cheapest noodle soups of the island. The bungalow does get very warm, due to the lack of shade. However nothing the airconditioning couldn't handle.

Homestay is cute, quiet, peaceful, very good atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious. Louis is very kind. I recommend it.

Good food

Small hotel well located, we spent 5 nights, room extremely dated and poorly maintained, water leak in toilet and sink, cleaning done once out of 5 nights. No collective fridge. On the other hand, it's great to fast.

This place is very lovely and peaceful plus a perfect location to the beach and bars. It’s a good place to start a slow morning during your vacation. I’m in love x Highly recommend and definitely coming back

This is a basic homestay run by a lovely family. It felt so much more genuine and authentic than the multiple resorts along the beach. It was very chilled out. It’s small so you don’t feel overrun by other tourists. The place was super clean. Delicious breakfasts and lunches available on site. Easy walk to other restaurants and the best swimming beach. If we come back to koh Kood we will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed in bungalow 4 for 5 nights. Bungalows are built on the ground and the rest is built on water. We liked that the place was built by the river and there were kayaks to take for free. The view from the bridge was beautiful. The tiny buffet breakfast was included but was the same every day. There were fruits, pancakes, sandwiches, cereals and drinks. The big breakfast was however very expensive (350thb!) so it's much better to eat a small breakfast or eat outside. The worst thing was the noise from the road that we could hear loud because the bungalow's walls and floor let all noises in. It felt like we were sleeping by the road and indeed the road was just 5 m away from our bungalow. We also didn't like the order to take off shoes in the bridge/ reception/ buffet area since it was a big area with floor made of planks that were not clean so later we had to put on shoes having dirty feets. We didn't like too many don'ts signs: there is a sign in the bungalow that restricts you from eating there. So you can't have a snack in your own bungalow or what? We liked that the bungalow is cleaned every 3 days. It's great that the dustbins are emptied then and towels are changed but changing the bedsheets every 3 days is too often. I mean we don't mind it but it is just not necessary.The restaurant there serves great Thai soups starting at 9 but you have to be there at 1-2pm the latest, since there is nothing to eat after this time, prices are good 60-70 THB for a soup.
