It's my favourite since 2009.I am now back after some time and will adjust my review I did in 2009. The upper bungalows are very accessible just beside the main road on the same side as the beach, about 75m from the shore. After nearly 15 years (since my first time here when it was fully restored) it is getting a bit rough around the corners, but the rooms are still clean and have all the necessities one can ask for at this price range ~1000baht/night in low season. Firm beds, refrigerator, TV, shower, AC, and a small patio you can sit on and have your breakfast or eat and drink a snack during the day. There are no breakfast served or included for the price at Tantawan, but you can easily go to any of the bigger hotels nearby and ask if its OK to eat breakfast there for a small sum, or go to 7Eleven and buy a yoghurt, coffee and a warm toast for breakfast. Staff is helpful and nice with some of them speaking very good English.At night, you have the beach restaurants that will provide excellent food in all price ranges.(คุณเก่งที่สุดผมรู้ครับ👍)

Great price & location. They have very simple rooms right on the beach for 500฿ (low season) but quite dark & no balcony/patio area. The bigger rooms behind those are 1000฿ (low season) are very nice, spacious, & comfortable. Both options have aircon and a small fridge. Our room also had a TV. The bed is firm, which was fine for us, but if you’re used to a soft bed it might not be so comfortable. The owner is very kind and helpful. We didn’t want the room made up but she still gave us water and toilet paper daily and new towels as needed. The location is great with plenty of bars, shops, and restaurants nearby. The hotel has some chairs & a table you can use to sit on the beach. It’s recommended to walk up the beach a bit to swim as there are some rocks right around this area. Would recommend and stay again!

Just on the foot of white sandy beach. AC Rooms are really nice and affordable starting with 500bhat. Rooms are just outside the white sandy beach which I loved the most and the owner is really a champ too.

We stayed here for 3 weeks on December. I liked it! Basic room, but on the beach which give you the freedom to enjoy and relax. These are the pictures of sunset that everyday I could see

Seaside house, beautiful view, next to the beach. A single house model with 1 bed is priced at 1,200.- per night on weekdays and a special price on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays is 1,000.- and there is a seaside room model at 700.- per room (weekdays) 600.- in Wat Hald, none. Food is served but close to the community, there are many convenience stores, restaurants, and beverage shops. It is a good choice for traveling on vacation.

Have been here several times in the past. Not anymore, the wooden bungalows now cost 2000 baht. In the peak season even 3500. If these were in very good condition...but they are not. Especially the problem of the bathroom, which often occurs in Thailand, is unfortunately in urgent need of renovation.

This review is just for the beach bar not for the bungalows! The beach bar is just lovely. The sea is 15 meters away and especialy the atmosphere in the evening is breathtaking. The cocktails do have a high standard for Thailand and the staff is extremely friendly!

The bed in my bungalow was horrible.. its like sleeping on a block of wood. Didnt sleep the entire night and directly ckecked out in the morning. Not another single night. Never!
