The service was very fast and the host was very kind. He instantly organised a scooter for us upon arrival for 200 Baht, which is a good price on the island. There were no insects in the bungalow, and it was clean. However, when I decided to book the bungalow, one of the main criteria for my decision was the fact that it appeared very light on the pictures, and I expected it to be a little more suitable for working/relaxing. Therefore I was disappointed by the dimness of the bungalow, as even opening the windows doesn't make it light enough to feel comfortable inside. The only light in the bungalow was also very dim. Another disappointing aspect to our stay was the pool - it was too dirty to bathe in. Other guests on the premises also didn't want to swim there because of that. The general appearance of the resort was a bit messy - you could see minimal caretaking effort, but not more. Judging by previous reviews I think the place used to flourish, but it has gotten a bit rusty. However, I think that it is still a very good option for a short stay. I found a week to be a bit too long.

Loved our 10 days stay in the Bamboo houses. The people working there are lovely and made our stay very special. We felt it as our home. If you want a place that you can disconnect, be in peace and also close to the nature, this is your place. The birds, the dogs and the cats around were adorable. Also the wifi was really good as we were working from there and it was essential. Will definitely go back for longer.

Arrived with no one to greet us - felt like a ghost town hotel. Waited about 20mins until a non-English speaking host turned up and showed us to our room, without giving us a key. Paid a lot (too much) for the 2 nights we stayed. I’m just grateful we only booked 2 nights. Unfortunately I was just happy to leave this island because of the accommodation we booked. The room and bathroom was nice but the complete lack of communication was bad. I think this place used to be good but it’s definitely a bit more decrepit these days. You definitely need the scooter to get around. Also the floor of the men’s toilets was covered in urine due to leaking pipes - really disgusting especially upon arrival.

At first we thought the hotel was a little too far away, but day by day we really started appreciating the more remote location. We explored every end of the Island by bike and scooter and the bamboo hut was really nice to come home to. There were no mosquitoes or bugs in the house, the bed was comfy and there were many towels, we loved the communal kitchen area and shopped at the local farmers market. It’s a small island, not that many tourists, but very nice to relax. We rented a kayak and sailed to the turtle beach, feel in love with Ao Soun Yai Beach and have the best dinners at Ohm restaurant and blue house. The massage place next to the blue house is fantastic - had the best massage I’ve ever had.Watch out for the sandflies which attacks in groups, they live near the wet sand and the bits first show 5-8 hours later and are extremely itchy and lasts longer than mosquitoes bites. Thanks to everything to our kind and sweet host - she helped us will all we needed.

I was there a few years ago. Super chill and quiet. We thought it was great and the managing directors were super friendly. It will be one of the first choices on your next trip.

This place is stunning! Beautiful bungalows hidden in a jungle. The owner Jake is a fantastic host and makes everyone feels welcome. The bar and cocktails are awesome, they also make delicious Mexican food. Best holiday ever :)
