We were here 2 years ago with two small children (April 2017). It was a wonderful holiday full of variety. The house is perfectly equipped and the host was always approachable and very helpful. The beach is great and with the provided canoe can be reached quickly. You should only watch out for sand fleas. These occur here. in the evening you have a great view of the sunset from the house. There are three restaurants in the immediate vicinity. for more nightlife you need a scooter, a car or you stop a taxi. we had a wonderful time and would like to come back again!

Amazing villa, great location.

There should be a sixth star for Baan Moon. We had seven nights here. Every morning, all day, and every night you can't imagine how lucky you are to be staying here. In October we more or less had Klong Prao Beach above and below the river to ourselves. Canoe with kayak paddles was super fun and super useful. Having travelled around all of Koh Chang, Klong Prao really stood out as being the best balance of quiet, beaches, restaurants and normal Thai life. Baan Moon host Ian could not have been more helpful, also arranging private transport to and from Bangkok hotels and two scooters for our stay on Ko Chang.

We can't think of a better place to stay in Koh Chang. It's calm, you will see and hear a lot of cool birds - and the view is just amazing, especially in the evening. Next best thing for us: Baan Rim Nam across the river (currently getting renovated), same owner. Ian and his staff are offering a comfortable and clean stay, they will help you with everything you need: transportation to and from Koh Chang, a good scooter, general tips about what is currently going on on this island etc. Bring a small fishing rod and compete against the local fisherman next door.
