We spent some nights around christmas eve at valhalla and it was great! Kampfire and bbq every night and some coffee in the mornings. Best place to go to if you like to escape the tourism of Pai.You can spend a few days in a hammock, go to the nearby hot springs or party in the city.

What an amazing little jungle bar. The sweetest and most openheartet people you can imagine. And the prices here are pretty easy to remember - everything is 60 bath, and I mean EVERYTHING. Beer 60 bath, drinks 60 bath, all you can eat barbecue 60 bath and believe or not: Accommodation... Yes, you're right 60 bath.We will definitely visit Valhalla again the next time we come to Pai.Blessings to all of you beautiful people at ValhallaMette and Leo, Denmark

Found this place by accident but I had a great time. It's essentially some huts and treehouses in the jungle, which I thought was super chill, but if you cant rough it for a few nights it might not be for you. On the other hand it only costs 60 baht a night and the drinks are only 60 baht too, and man do they pour them strooong! (After a few of their cocktails you won't even notice you're sleeping in the jungle!) They also typically provide free dinner as everyone sits around a campfire in the evening while they cook over it.Very friendly and funny staff who work there and want to make sure you're happy and having a good time. I wish I could have stayed more than just one night but I had to keep moving unfortunately. It's right down the road from a hotspring which is how I stumbled upon this place. You could make a day trip to the main park Huai Nam Dang (recommend getting there for sunrise/early morning for a spectacular view in the cool season) then head back and chill in the hotspring up the road (fyi entrance fee isn't too cheap but includes entrance to both locations so its best to go to both and get your money's worth).

For 60 baht a night per person you can't really go too wrong. The staff is super friendly and let you run up a tab instead of making you pay for every little thing right away. However, I'd recommend this more as a place to stop by during the day and not as a hostel. Sometimes it's worth paying a little more for a different place because this is very bare bones. The plugs were loose and I had to be very careful around them or else things wouldn't actually work. The light in the room didn't seem to function and I'm personally not a fan of just a thin mat between me and bamboo.I borrowed the fan from outside by the dining table to help us fall asleep. We could have used some mosquito netting and spider-be-gone because boy oh boy were those guys everywhere. The puppies kept us all up with their constant playing and walking by our door, and when the place is made of bamboo, you really notice every little noise. And the bathroom/shower was little more than a cluttered stall. Lots of personality there, but Christ you can't really move around and the door is assembled in a way to close all the way so you always feel a little out in the open.
