I rented a room on the second floor for 2 weeks: freshly renovated and furnished, 3 glass walls with a magnificent view of the entire valley!The room has 2 air conditioners and a fan, but open windows with mosquito nets are sufficient.There is a small open communal kitchen outside. The owner lives nearby and is always ready to help.There are a couple of cafes within a 2-3 minute walk. The center of Pai is about 15 minutes on foot, 4 by bike.

A great place for a chill couple or family to stay in Pai. There is a gorgeous view from the patio and you can catch the sunrise in the evening times. If you need a solid internet connection, then you should be okay. There is high speed internet, but it is shared with others. 9 times out of 10, it is fast, but sometimes when others are using it, it can get slow for a minute or two. It's better than most places I have stayed in Thailand.It's about a 15 minute walk to the night market, over the bamboo foot bridge, or a 3 minute drive.The owners are very friendly and they let us negotiate a cheaper rate for staying there 5 weeks! There was one day in the 5 weeks that had been booked by others, instead of kicking us out, they let us stay in a just-renovated room for free. They even let us store our bags for 3 days while we did a border run. All in all, we were very happy with our stay. It felt like our own little apartment in Pai.On the downside, there were some ants in the room, and there are the usual noises like dogs barking and roosters crowing all night. But honestly, those sounds are unavoidable in Pai, unless you live right in town and then you have the loud bars all night.A great place to stay, would recommend, and would love to support this kind, accommodating family.
