The good:Friendly staffBreakfast was generally good. Great service, real sausages (opposed to the 711 looking hotdog ones) 1 out of the 5 daysHappy hour: BOGO on cocktailsSpa: BOGO on massages, treatments etcPretty much right the beach with great beach accessPrivate pool is a decent size!Great shower.Room aesthetics are great, even known the room is aging a bit.The bad:Accor hotel but they are not part of the ALL membership, so no reward points or discounts.Spa in the pool wasn’t working (only realised on the final night so no biggy)Audio system never worked, again, no biggy personallyNo hot water in our bath, only barely luke warm.Toilet takes an eternity to finish flushingMost of the bad stuff is outweighed by the good, but we paid a decent amount for our suite, so that makes it slightly annoying.Overall:It’s great, if you like somewhere quiet and secluded. You don’t have much in the way of shopping around you, so be aware of that when you book (the closest convenience store, Tops, is 15 mins walk along the beach). There are some great restaurants on the beach though, notably Smigo’s. The gym is great with really decent equipment, as is the on-site spa where we had a fantastic massage.We really enjoyed our stay and would likely be back again if this Movenpick ever gets on board with All Accor.

It was truly the perfect way to unwind—professional treatments in a tranquil setting made it unforgettable.On top of that, the breakfast was absolutely superb, hands down the best I’ve had in all of Phuket! The pool area was equally fantastic, with a serene atmosphere and the convenience of a bar right in the pool.What really stood out was the attentiveness of the staff. They were always eager to help, greeting us with warm smiles every day. It's these thoughtful touches that elevate a stay from good to truly memorable.

The best feature about this hotel are the hotel staff, especially the front desk and breakfast team. They will do anything within their power to make your stay enjoyable. And for that we thank you and give you 6 stars !The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Full functioning kitchen with big fridge and daily drinking water. Real value for money. Their location is almost beachfront. The property is suitable for families with children. 5 stars for the hotel.Downside.1. Have to make sure all AC and hot water are working well after you check in.2. This hotel is NOT suitable for elderly or people with disability (on a wheelchair) since they are multiple steps to most of the rooms.Final thought.Yes i will be back to stay here again !

I recently stayed at Mövenpick Hotel, Batao, in Phuket, and I have to say it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. Despite booking the highest villa category to ensure a comfortable stay, we were severely let down. We reserved a sea view room two months in advance, yet upon arrival, we were placed in a room at the furthest end of the hotel—nowhere near what we expected. Worse yet, the so-called “sea view” was almost completely obstructed by trees, making it more of a partial view. When we asked for a room change, we were told the hotel was fully booked, which was very frustrating, especially given how far in advance we had booked and the fact that we selected the highest category of villa.The hygiene and cleanliness at this hotel were unacceptable. Upon arrival, we ordered room service, but the food was terrible, so we left it untouched. Despite housekeeping visiting our room the next day, the uneaten food was never removed, and the cleaning was superficial at best. After the first night, my daughters both woke up with health issues—one with a painful skin rash and the other with a red, swollen eye. After returning home, we visited the doctor, who confirmed the eye problem was an allergic reaction to dirt, clearly linked to the dirty beds in the hotel. Even the cleaning staff’s efforts were poor, as footprints were still visible after they supposedly cleaned the room.To add to the discomfort, we experienced a series of strange events that made our stay even more unsettling. On the first night, the TV turned on by itself in the middle of the night, and doors opened randomly without any apparent cause. We also heard footsteps late at night, even though no one was around. The most disturbing part? We were staying on the highest floor, yet we constantly heard footsteps above us—despite there being no room above our floor.Between the misrepresentation of the room, the poor cleanliness, and the unsettling events, this hotel completely failed to provide a comfortable stay. Even after booking the highest villa category, our experience was far from what we expected. I would not recommend Mövenpick Hotel, Batao, to anyone. My family and I were extremely disappointed, and what should have been a relaxing holiday turned into a series of frustrations and discomforts.

Room and bathroom size was large, nice balcony and view of the ocean. Service and staff were great! Didn’t try much on the menu as most meals were outside in the city or along the beach, there’s a terrific restaurant on the beach next to hotel. The breakfast at hotel is 5 star, fresh egg or crepe station and morning detox shots! Beach is clean and while waves were strong, you can swim without fear. Great activities nearby the hotel, golf at Laguna - 5 min, elephant sanctuary and zip line also must try! I’ll definitely visit again!

It was my first trip to Phuket. I chose the hotel based on the photo even though I didn't know the location, and it was truly amazing!Although I arrived at night, I was greeted warmly, and the large, clean room was very comfortable.NAN treated us really well during our stay.The breakfast was delicious, and most of all, the staff were always smiling and helpful.FANG was very courteous at check-out.I definitely want to visit Phuket again, and I would like to stay at Movenpick Hotel again next time.Our family trip became the best memory. I would like to thank all the staff at the Movenpick Hotel.

The best service. The best place. Orlando(ORLY) is the kindness and great manager of the main restaurant. All staffs is also very kind, professional and super polite. Hope to come back soon. We enjoyed the sea, the pools and all the activities.
