Location 2/5: Despite the fact that it is located 15 minutes walking distance from Thai Embassy which is good for visa run, it actually is far from the city center or other tourist attraction place. Other than that, It doesn’t feel safe to walk in the neighborhood at night especially for the solo female travelers.For Rooms and Service, I would give 3/5. Rooms are huge and they accept early check-in.

A small 6-story hotel located near the bus terminal in the northern part of Savannakhet city. It appears that this building was newly opened during the coronavirus pandemic, separate from Building No. 1 along Sisawangwong Boulevard. Although it is a simple hotel that is often seen in Thailand and does not have the luxury or hotel-like atmosphere, it has a relatively high reputation in Savannakhet city as it has a certain level of comfortable facilities and good access to public transportation. It seems that it is.

It is convenient if you want to stay near the bus station, but a little far from the center and night market. The welcome from the staff is a bit cold but for staying one or two nights it is perfect: clean and functional rooms, comfortable bed, lift, AC, even the swimming pool.

Nice location for visa run . 20 min walk to Thai Embassy. Only one reception (male) can speak English well. He is very helpful. But they said we can’t extend stay in the next morning around 10:00am as the room is full . So we have to move and find immediately to next hotel. Hotel wifi wasn’t good at my room. I saw some visa run tour there .

I used it for a stay of 2 nights and 3 days. About 1500 baht. There is an elevator and stairs, so you can use whichever you want. There are some tricks to getting the room key. There is only a simple key from inside, and padlocks cannot be used, so if you are a single woman and are very cautious, you may be worried. A woman who can speak English is at the reception desk during the day. There are men at night. Breakfast is included, but unlike before, there is only a simple menu of about 6 dishes. Moreover, it's a bit of a walk from the hotel (on the second day, the food was served at the back of the lobby on the first floor).Other than that, there are no other services, so you have to make your own arrangements, such as preparing for your next trip and doing laundry. The room was clean and the hot shower was usable, although it was a bit lacking. The cooler worked well. The room is cleaned every day and the towels are changed. Soap and shampoo are provided. It's convenient because you can walk to the bus terminal. The Wi-Fi password is written on the room key and inside each room. The speed was perfect, and it was faster than the rental Wi-Fi I brought from Japan.

Reserved there goes quickly to the border.... disappointed by the swimming pool, not clean, a defective liner, not even deckchairs and at the end of the parking lot, not great.It didn't make me want to stay.

I very much enjoyed my 1night stay here during a visa run. I booked in advance but my phone broke and their system didn't show my name but the receptionist was nice enough to give me one of the empty rooms. The room is clean and comfortable. I very much enjoyed the bed, the ac is powerful. Wifi works great. It's pretty close to the Thai embassy, about 20min on foot. Overall, I felt safe and comfortable here. I highly doubt it but if I ever end up in Savannaket I'll definitely stay here again.

Can't reserve through Agoda as stated, actually paid 800 baht per room. You can choose only one breakfast plus 1 cup of coffee. The room was ok.

Ok, so what can I say. This is the 2nd branch of Avalon which mainly caters to visa runners. The rooms are great and spacious. Location is quite good if you want to be close to the embassy, but a bit far from the colonial quarters where some of the better restaurants and bars are. However there are some party options really near such as home beer.Now here comes the tricky part. I continued on to the night club near the roundabout and got home about 1:30 am. However, no one would open the gate, and this city is infamous for it's ferocious dogs, especially at night. I tried to call, yet he wouldn't open. Ended up with me having to scale the fence, which was quite tall mind you, getting some scars on my leg.Now that's something that just shouldn't have to happen. A simple door bell, or not actually locking the gate would be a plus, cause it is a hotel after all, not much use if your customers can't get in...However, I won't blame the whole establishment cause the front desk lady was very cute and helpful, the staff in general smiley and respectful, rooms clean and nothing to complain about really. Just make sure your customers can get in at night...

A little expensive for such a province. 900 baht per night. An ordinary hotel, not newly renovated, everything works, wi-fi, TV, refrigerator, warm water in the shower. There is a swimming pool. But I don’t know how the water is in it, we didn’t swim. The price would have been lower, I would have given it a 5th check-in, but it’s still a discrepancy.
