There are few places in the world like this. It is not a lodging, it is something deeper. In total contact with nature (mosquitoes included) and with the community of people who meet in this place.If what you are looking for are the comforts of the modern world, this is not your place (it happened to us), you don't have electricity (2 hours a day), hot water, or clean sheets.But the experience is very special, it transcends all those needs and the memory will surely stay with you for a long time, in the end that is what is achieved, for me that is much more valuable than anything else.

Small family run restaurant and very basic seating but the food was delicious, we tried the massaman curry and vegetable tempura, the best we tasted anywhere in Thailand, we went back a second night with friends before we left the island and they loved it too.

Very nice place held by Deela, kind of the islands local shaman, survivor of the tsunami. Don t expect luxury, it s very basic but you ll love the laid-back vibe en family style management. Electricity only between 6 and 10pm, so 4 hrs after sunset. I paid 250bht per night in April. Good restaurant with large portions. Het sister Rosa runs a nice restaurant uphill. U will need a motorbike on koh jum.

We stopped by from the beach for a quick snack. The yellow noodles were very, very tasty and the fresh fruit shakes are particularly recommended. The people here are very nice and friendly. If no one comes right away, just go in and ask for the menu. 😉

Cool place! Peaceful location,soo lovely people :)you will find yourself here. Best place in Thailand and just by the beach. We wanted stay 1-2 nights but it was so hard to leave that we decided to stay 7 nights:) you can sleep in tent or bungalow.basic equipment,but all you need

Only went for food, however it was very tasty!Way cheaper than everywhere else & the portion size was massive!Would recommend...Have to say, they should update their website! There were loads of bungalows there & I wanted to stay there, but their website said that as a result of the tsunami, only family & massive bungalows are available - if it were updated I would have stayed here

Simply the best place on Koh Jum. No Daeng has great food, great staff and a very homey atmosphere that makes you feel at home. If you are in Koh Jum this is the best place to stay and to eat

It's a very amazing and cozy place. I slept a few days in an own bungalow which was basic but more than enough. To the beach it's only a 2 minutes walk and the owner of the guesthouse is so sweet and nice!

The bungalows are extremely basic, old and have lots of holes in the walls and roof (straw and bamboo) and no electricity plug in the room (no wifi either) I stayed a week but didn't feel at home; the 20 or so rooms there were almost …
