This was the best homestay experience we ever had in Thailand. Aidong and his family are the greatest hosts. I highly recommend anyone to go here for a true thai country side experience.Transportation: You can get there with a car or motorbike from chiang mai via chiang dao. The drive is very scenic and the roads are good. From Pai you need to cross the national park, the roads are rough and you will a truck. This was our case, so Aidong picked and brough the family with him to make a family outing. The ride on the back of his pickup truck through the national park was fantastic. While we were there Aidong did many activities with us to teach us how the locals live and explained to us how the community functions. He took us hunting on the rice fields, fishing in the rivers, ant eggs gathering, and showed us all of his property and cattle. Most authentic experiences we had in Thailand. The bungalows have a lovely view, are very homey and rustic in all the right ways. We felt very comfortable there. The family is super welcoming, friendly, funny, and sweet. As is everyone in the village. The food was also fantastic and each evening a different family prepared our supper.Thank you again to Aidong for making this such a great experience!

A mysterious city that retains its charm of calm and simplicity. Stopped by for a visit and didn't want to go back to the outside world again....
