Very cozy restaurant hosted by a hill tribe family. They take time to prepare the food by the fire. The portions were very very big and very good!!

Our best pizza in Laos. Just a few steps from the main street. They started up there pizza oven just for us, and it tasted great. The cheese might be a different from what you're used to, but it has that great wood fire taste. Support these friendly locals!

A local restaurant high up overlooking the Mekong, recommended by the lonely planet. We eat a meal prepared by mountain people, using only fresh, organic and local products. For us it will be a large format Beerlao because there is a wait for the order since everything is made to order. We had a grilled fish with a sensational mixture of herbs, a vegetable dish, each one more delicious than the other. the others and of course a plate of sticky rice to share and extra chili pepper! A delight.

This place seemed really nice at first and I was looking forward to trying the food and drink. Essentially I ordered a banana shake and a pizza with veggies and meat. The banana shake was actually quite nice although it took a while for the drink to actually arrive. As for the pizza it was a slightly different story. I know the pizza isn't going to be the same or arguably as good as ordering in other places so I'm usually lenient when ordering this kind of food. Unfortunately the food took over an hour to come and I was the only person in the restaurant. The pizza itself when it did arrive was unfortunately one of the worst meals I have had without exaggerating. The base was undercooked and raw in parts. There was little to no tomato sauce on the base. There was almost no meat on the pizza despite me ordering it. Some of the veggies were nice but the whole thing was ruined due to a ridiculous amount of onions on the pizza. Overall it was just an awful meal. Perhaps some of the other food was better but I personally would avoid having pizza here. In the end I couldn't even finish it.I appreciate this business is actually really impactful for the community and perhaps they do serve some nice food but the waiting time was way too long even if everything was cooked fresh and the pizza itself was just not tasty and done really badly. The positive is you can get some great views of the sunset over the Mekong so maybe grabbing a drink and watching the sunset might be a nice idea for this place 🙂

We enjoyed our dinner here, pizza is surprisingly good. Not good for Laos, just in general very good. We also had rice with vegetables, very light meal and a big portion. The place is great for couples and friends, they offer menus for two people as well. The waiter and cooks were very friendly, prices affordable. I liked the fact that they are legitimately socially involved and profit goes to help the local community. We were there when it was dark but I'm sure the view at Mekong is also nice when you can see it.It is minimalistic but clean, hygienic, tasty, cheap and you know that the money you pay them helps the local community. Recommended!
