We arrived here with my girlfriend.She did the booking but I just wanna say thank you and rate by myself and say something about this guesthouse and to AMOR. even though it was raining a lot she makes our stay worth it and happy.when we arrived, the reception area smell so nice and when you open the room the smell really nice as well. It's really clean. Amor put so much love on her job the way she entertain her guests with a smile on her face .You will also see her at the LITTLE HOSTEL. If you are traveling solo their hostel is the best it's very clean. She's knowledgeable enough to share some tips about Laos before you embark for the boat trip.She will give you some tips about do's and don't's!Which is really helpful. She is like a mother to everyone reminding us not to forget anything and check the room before leaving.They offer here a lunchbox on the boat which has many choices and it was really really delicious.Thank you Amor for making our stay wonderful.You are the GEM of this guesthouse and Little Hostel.Good luck for your next Journey:)

I stayed 2 nights here because I needed to do a visa run, I arrived in afternoon and met Amor with her big smile, she is so helpful and gave me a lots of advice to make my stay the most wonderful as possible.I booked a private room with A/C, it was clean and the bed is really confortable.It’s just close to the departure of slow boat.If you are looking for a good and clean hotel, you should book here 😁

Pros - Great host. Very clean and nice rooms. Lovely view from 1 st floor. Near the river.Cons - Some clothes stands or shelf would be helpful. Some more space for shower :)Can’t ask for more if doing a border hop. All the best Amor. You are amazing!

A house with rough edges, but no unpleasant surprises. A stone's throw from the boat dock. The neat owner takes care of all matters with a lot of love and enthusiasm. Anyone who plans to do anything with the slow boat is in good hands here.

We had an amazing stay at "1 Minute to Slow Boat" in Huay Xai. From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel right at home with her incredible kindness and hospitality. She went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed, from getting a local SIM card to exchanging money and providing us with invaluable travel tips that really enhanced our trip. The air conditioning worked perfectly, ensuring we were always comfortable despite the heat and humidity of the season, and the hot water was reliable, making showers a pleasure after long days of travel. The internet was fast and stable.The bed was extremely comfortable—this was especially important for me as I wasn't feeling well, and I managed to get 11 hours of restful sleep each night! We felt so well taken care of and rested during our stay.And the price it's super ok!!I can't recommend this place enough. It's truly a gem for anyone passing through Huay Xai.

We came to this guest house after having missed the slowboat because the times displayed on the Internet were not updated :( and we were pleasantly surprised by this establishment. The lady at our reception took care of us with extremely kind, she gave us very good advice for the rest of our trip and helped us on many points, I recommend this establishment especially if you take the slow boat, because it's right next door :))

The perfect choice for an overnight getaway, whether or not you're getting a boat the next morning. The rooms are clean and everything works. Minimalist in terms of furniture and appliances, but had a hair dryer and q tips which was unexpected. The matress was soft and super comfy. Internet was fine.Altogether it's very good value for money and deserves it's hight rating compared to other properties. A special shout out to the manager/receptionist. She was very proactive, helpful and speaks excellent English.Choose here if you're in any doubt. Just watch out for the funky stairs if you're on the second level.

The manager was super helpful in getting us SIM cards and exchanging money etc! This place is so close to the slow boat pier and the perfect place to stay before!
