Accommodation is in Wiang Chiang Saen. Near Pratu Din Kho It's quite far from the main road, market, and bus terminal. If you walk, it will take 15-20 minutes, but the accommodation has bicycles available, so it's convenient to travel around the city. The surroundings are quiet. The service staff is very good. The building may look a bit old. It smells slightly of cigarette smoke, which may come from another zone. Overall, it is considered worth the price.The hotel is located in the ancient city of Chiang Saen, near the southern city gate. It is quite far from the main road, market, and bus station; walking there would take about 15-20 minutes. However, the hotel provides bicycles, making it convenient to explore the city. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful, and the staff provides excellent service. The building might look a bit old and there is a slight smell of cigarettes, which might come from other zones. Overall, it is worth the price.

I booked an extra night as the price was very good for the standard of accommodation. The WiFi was a bit hit and miss at times but it's not a big problem. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in Chiang Saen

I first stayed here seven or eight years ago. It's on a quiet street with very little traffic noise but not far from the centre. Spacious rooms and friendly staff. Also a free coffee machine. …

Kind of an older hotel but the wifi is great and a/c worked admirably . Some things are dated but everything is nice and clean. It was 500 walk in and a little cheaper on Agoda. Staff was nice. The location was a little far from the main street and 7-Eleven but still very walkable.

Grande dame, in her advanced years, with some quirks.From the outside this hotel looks like it's well beyond its prime, with a peeling coat of dark green paint greeting arriving customers. When entering the spacious lobby it's not quite clear if this is a pool hall or a hotel as there is a big snooker table taking up most of the space. But we liked the Christmas music playing in the lobby and the staff wearing Santa hats, which gave it an extra level of cuteness.The lady at the front desk speaks English well.Rooms are quite old too, but kept clean given the age of the building and furniture. The bed is one of the most comfortable ones we've encountered in the north of Thailand. And once we moved to a room facing the backyard we slept like a rock.The first room we stayed at was facing the road side, and we could hear every word of people taking in the restaurant next door, not to mention the loud motorbikes. The windows have zero noise insulation, which also does not keep out the smoke from the neighbours burning their trash. Depending on wind direction you might get some strong smoke smell in the rooms.Given that this is a quite old building there are very few power sockets to charge mobile devices.There is an elevator to access the upper floors, free bicycles are provided to explore the area, and it's only a 10-15min walk to the center of town via the quiet but wide and well-lit backroads.Another big plus is the Saeco coffee machine with good beans at the lobby, were guest can help themselves to a freshly brewed coffee 24/7.Parking is an issue if the hotel is busy. There are only a few spots along the street, and sometime they are taken by randomly parked motorcycles.

This is a very good value hotel.Although it is a slightly older hotel, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. It's a 10-minute drive from the Golden Triangle, but it's a bit outside Chiang Saen, so if you go late, nearby restaurants will close early, so you'll have to head towards downtown. The mirror in the room is interesting, so I am attaching a photo. There is a local convenience store right in front of the hotel, which has everything you need and the owner is very friendly.

this from a local; stayed here a few times before i built my own house in town; good value for the money; pool table, nice lobby, good service; odd location tho, not near river or downtown, but a moderate walk to the center of town, parking isnt great for a place of this size; ok english, clean, quiet
