Ok this place is different, like way out here. If you want a party this is not for you. If you want absolute quiet, meditation, removal from tourists, this is the place for you. This place has been hit hard by the lack of tourism, we had the entire resort to ourselves for 3 amazing nights. The grounds could look "better" but I thought it was absolutely breathtaking beautiful. The lack of tourism from COVID has hit everywhere here hard but Chiang Rai for sure. There were two wonderful women that took care of everything for us from beer runs to laundry, they were absolutely incredible. A little buggy but c'mon you're in a real place with real rain Forrest surrounding you, it's not bad even the mosquitoes are pretty light and we're at the end of the rainy season. You have to experience this for yourself if you're looking to be a bit removed for a while. Can't recommend enough, 10 stars, I'll remember that place for the rest of my life as one of the biggest highlights to my trip to Thailand. 💚💚💚🇹🇭💥👍👍

To say this was a magical experience does not do it justice. Imagine a serene forest setting in rural Thailand with just enough landscaping to make it habitable. Getting to our villa was an experience as there are dimly lit arches and what looks like a palace in the middle reflected in the pond. Our room was like going back in time and felt like Thai royalty. Every little detail (dark wood floors, poster bed, red colored panes) feels like you have been transported to a time long gone. Food is served adjacent to the kitchen, and all means were delicious and freshly made. When we left for the day, they even packed us lunch! Mayuri and Da were the perfect hosts, and they have so much to talk about from their amazing travels (60-day drive from Bangkok to Paris!!!).The location is remote, and we had a car, which is a must. It does get cold at night in Dec, and we did not have a jacket which is needed. But the room is fine, especially under cover.

Words cannot describe Mayuri's villas. I don't know how to begin except to say it's one of the most beautiful and amazing places I've ever been. Featuring individual traditional style villas in a park like setting that has taken her 15 years and is still a work in progress and a labour of love.Each villa is unique with antiques and artefacts and design elements inspired from all around the world.It also boasts a divine pool area and adjoining sauna and spa bath.The food is absolutely delicious.We discovered an amazing restaurant just 5 minute drive away called Fathers Restaurant and a world class coffee shop using local coffee. It's between Chiang Mai and the Golden Triangle so wonderfully situated.Villa de Siam is a destination in itself . We can't wait to return.

Many years of hard work have turned this into a rural gem of countryside, lakes, and many rescued and recycled old buildings. In Thailand there are 7 Elevens everywhere, when I tell my Thai friends that the nearest is 10 KM from here they cannot believe it. Tonight all I can hear is the wildlife.
